It's not for everyone, but I slowly started cutting it back until I got to a point where I drink it black now.

I would suggest slowly diminishing the use of the creamers. Wean yourself off of them so to speak. Perhaps try flavored coffee?

unsweetened almond milk (15 calories for 1/2 cup) + Toli sugar free syrup (you can buy it at Walmart) any kind.

I used to use a lot of creamer, too. I slowly began using less and less. I still use it, but in moderation.
Opt for something fat-free or sugar-free. Try using regular milk, or even soy milk or whatever suits your fancy :)

Cut back to whole milk and Splenda and maybe vanilla extract... then go to skim milk. I like it with just a splash of skim and little or no sweetener now.

I either drink my tea black or sometimes I'll make a pot of it, throw 1/4 of extract (almond, vanilla, etc.) and use regular milk and stevia or a bit of honey if I need a bit of sweetness.

Add cinnamon to your coffee for a little extra flavor, too.
Sometimes I'll put cinnamon right in the grounds while the coffee is brewing.

I use these items randomly in my coffee:
    1. sugar free creamer powder
    2. Almond Milk (unsweetened)
    3. protein powder (vanilla or chocolate)
    4. sugar free hot chocolate
  • I would try a flavored coffee....then use whatever milk you want. Also, I have heard that coffeemate is coming out with more sugarfree flavors which are fewer calories than the regular ones.

I use a "splash" of 2% milk and I measure out my creamer. 1 tbsp is like 35 calories. My favorite right now is sugar free coffee mate vanilla caramel. I also have been using coffee mate cafe mocha......delish.

Oh and we buy different coffees.....Godiva Creme' Brulee', Godvia Chocolate Truffle, I think there was some pumpkin spice and some caramel something or other my husband recently picked up; no calories because it a flavor roasted into the bean.

I just switched to sugar free creamer. Instead of 35 calories in a tablespoon, there is 15.

It's organic creamer from local New England farms in my house. We use the 'dust' only if we run out or if we're traveling (keep it in the pantry for emergencies).

A little splash of organic creamer only adds 20 calories (1/'2 of a tablespoon).

Why put chemicals or fillers in your morning coffee? One cup a coffee per day offers antioxidants and diabetes prevention. Why add crap to it?

Weaning worked for me. And I loved my creamers. Once you can stand the taste of the black stuff, try Ethiopian coffee. It's really good. If it has to be white, try an unsweetened almond milk.

I use whole milk. I tried skim but it took 1/4 cup of skim vs. 1/8 cup of whole and the whole ended up less calories w/ better taste.

The Sugar-Free versions are much lower in calories. I Have the CoffeeMate SF Peppermint Mocha right now, and 1 TBSP is 15 calories. Delish!

Try skim milk and the sugar free flavored syrups like they use at fancy coffee shops. You can find them in stores like Cost Plus World Market and even your local grocery store. There are literally dozens of flavors to choose from.

When I was out of creamer, I started using Pacific Natural Foods organic vanilla almond milk and it's awesome! It's 70 cals for a whole cup.

I don't think it is worth adding chemicals to your coffee just to save a few calories. You can use organic half and half. Half a tablespoon is 20 calories. Rather than 15 of a chemical stew.

almond milk. Or do what I did and just stop the coffee totally. It's a trade off and I was VERY grumpy for about 3 days until I got away from the addiction.

I used to drink all of that but I was told by a nutritionist that if you try something (black coffee) for 13 days, it will become you preference. I tried and it worked for me. the one trick is to use high quality coffee. I use the mayan blend by Jose's from costco. It is available through road shows.
  • skim milk or fat free half&half and sugar free syrup, it comes in TONS of flavors!

I opted not to give up my coffee with creamer and sugar, so I just measure it carefully and try to limit myself to 1 or 2 cups of coffee per day. I might have to try the almond milk suggestion sometime though, that sounds good.
