    Elstar.

Don't think you can get it in US, though.

Macoun, from the local orchard here in Connecticut. They are only available for a limited time in the fall.

    Next favorite is Fuji.

I have to try Honey Crisp, seems to be everyone else's favorite

Jazz! There is only one store in Maine that we can find them since moving from Texas and even if we buy all of our groceries at one store, my husband knows that we have to make one stop at a different store just for these apples. Nothing, in my opinion compares.

McIntosh for sure. I've never heard of Honey Crisp, which seems to be the runaway favorite here. I'll have to look and see if they are available here and give them a try.

I go through phases of only eating one type of apple then hating it and going onto another. Right now it's still golden delicious.

I'm from WA state, famous for their apples. Although we export most of the good ones to Japan and other countries that pay premium prices for them, we still get to keep a few good ones. We pay up to $5.00 a pound for them though. My favorites for eating are Granny Smith and Gala. I don't even like the apples they put away in cold storage for later in the winter. They are pithy and no longer crisp.
