Emily, I would say the number one thing that you could do is aim to eat more protein. If you are new here then you may not realise that MFP automatically sets a ratio of carbs:fat:protein that is quite low in protein. You can go in and manually change it.
The other thing that I would reccomend is eating more veggies.
How do I change that, or what would be a ratio that is good for me?
Thanks for the help!0 -
@lacheisss
Excellent workouts, great to see you are eating back the calories. I would slowly try getting away from the take out food to help lower the sodium and extra fillers. I know its hard being busy however.0 -
I was missed the first time around! Poops!

Your diary is noteworthy- very good! You're hitting your macros and eating a nice variety of fresh foods several times throughout the day. The only thing I saw worth removing was the fake cheese. Personally, I would avoid butter too- but you obviously aren't eating it in excess and are doing exceptional everywhere else. Nice water intake too! Sorry I could not be of much help, haha.0 -

really good diary , but try avoiding carbs in the late part of your day lets say after lunch you should be avoiding it or it will be turned into fat0 -
@ missabeez,,your food looks so great..I couldnt see anything that I would change,high protein,low sodium,,even got some gummy bears in there,,fantastic ,,,congrats0

Thanks! I've been having a lot of leftovers lately, but god are they good. All the recipes I've made are from my favorite food website skinnytaste.com.0

@ausf checked your diary and it seems a bit high on processed food so perhaps you could incorporate more fresh foods?0

Everything you eat looks super yummy, but you seem to be consistently ~1000 cals under. If I had a limit like that I'd be taking advantage of it! Also your protein seems consistently lowish. But in general, looks good.
Disclaimer to whoever does mine- Sunday I went over by noon so didn't bother logging the rest. Cookies and brownies were involved at a CE.0 -

Thank you for the feedback! I am just wondering what science (or further facts) you have behind the statement in which carbohydrates are processed in to fats later on in the day (does this include ALL carbs such as fruit? Or just the more processed carbs?). I'm not disagreeing- just interested. I have heard your point before as well as others whom say it doesn't really matter as long as you hit your macros.0 -

You have great water intake, a good variety of foods, obviously some favorites which are healthy and a good mix of proteins and fats. You typically come in close or under goal so very consistent. The only thing I noticed is an absence of fruits. I would encourage you to include more fruits in your diet. Otherwise very nice!0 -
@Lovestoscrapbook - can't comment cos your diary is closed............0

@acdchica, nothing to say really looks spot on, maybe apart from a consistently quite high sodium intake.0

Hi Rosschip,
You have a good variation and some interesting meals. As an alternative to bread sometimes maybe add a little pasta or rice instead. Those microwavable packets are easy to account for and easy to be able to grab from the cupboard at short notice. Well done!0 -
@trixiemou: Your choices seem quite healthy and well rounded. I particularly love whatever happened last Sunday. Looks like a day I would have. ;-)
More water!0 -
I got missed the first time around. *pout*0

@rubyautumn4 - Need more protein, awesome water, and I LOVE tiramisu!!!0

OK... looked at few diaries... just made myself hungry, and was doing great before that. :ohwell:
Good suggestion, will have to look at them at different time.0 -
I agree that more protein would be useful. I am not a huge fan of pre-packaged dinners (Lean Cuisine etc.) because there is a lot of addatives. Great job on the water and variety of foods.
Try preparing more food at dinner and freezing extras in Rubbermaid/Tupperware containers in individual servings. It does take extra effort, but you'll know what's not sneaking into your meals because you're the one cooking it. Then you can pull out what you want to eat, arrange it on your plate, and warm it up.
Keep it up!0 -
Your diary looks good to me!0

I looked at Sprites diary... not much I can suggest. It looks REALLY good. Under on calories pretty much every day. Over on sugar, but it comes from fruit mostly, just like mine does. GOOD JOB!!0

Deb3129 = looks pretty good. You have lots of veggies which is great. The only thing I would change is your breakfast as you seem to have Tacos a bit too often.0

a little more protein here and there wouldn't be a bad thing0 -

@ skinnybeans.. It looks like you are pretty well rounded. I would watch out for the sugar.. (mine gets me just about every day)0
