I use protein powder frequently. I have a sweet tooth and my protein powder concoctions keep the beast at bay:devil: . If left to my own food preferences I eat meat sporadically, if not for my DH who thinks a meal is not truly complete without some meat, I would eat even less protein than I do now. Nights that I work, I eat a mostly vegetarian diet, I grew up semi-vegetarian and still prefer plant or dairy based foods. I tried a low-carb diet, exactly once, never again. Low-carb makes me feel like crap; angry, emotional, achy, flu-like with serious GI issues. I know it works for some people, but not for me. I do good to get 20-25% of my calories from protein, and to reach that requires a supplement most days. I get Pure Protein vanilla at the grocery and it taste fine in everything I've ever made with it and with 25 gms of protein in 140 calories, it helps me increase my protein to better levels.
