I'm 32 years old and I have three daughters, ages 2, 4, and 6. My 6 year old just saw this post and said, "Mom, you used to be really fat. Now you're almost skinny. Like a stick." I take ANY opportunity that they bring up something like this to teach them something. So we had a nice little chat about how you can hurt peoples' feelings if you call them fat. Also, being healthy is what matters, not being skinny. That I changed like this in order to be healthy for our whole family. And then through her asking more questions, we talked about how you stay healthy though good food choices and exercising and staying active. GOOD MORNING discussion at the crack of dawn here!!

Today marks 460 consecutive days on MFP!

17 months ago (June 2011) I was in a wheelchair with a spinal cord injury. Here's my story of what happened: http://www.joyzyblog.com/my-story/

I spend time every day working on my fitness. During my first 11 months on MFP, (August 2011-July 2012) I logged every single bite I ate, averaging about 1500-1600/calories per day. I lost 100 pounds during the first 11 months.

For the past 9 months, I lift weights 2-3x/week

I run 6-7 days a week.

I've done six 5k races so far and I have my next race in 3 days. I'm so pumped!!!
