65 on the weekend and in the evenings when we're at home, 55 at night/when we're at work. I just wear a sweater and smile when I get my utility bill and it's 1/3 of any of our neighbors'.

ETA: I do have a little electric space heater to warm up the bathroom for showers, but no need to heat the whole house for that.

It's set at 78 degrees downstairs right now and It's only November. It usually gets bumped up to 82ish in January.

    You people must be freezing....

I keep it set so that it's 70 when I'm up, and 64 for sleeping.

I'm a lot colder this year - less insulation! But so far I've resisted turning up the thermostat.

68 (20C) if I set it - at which I'm borderline too warm in a T-shirt and wife has three layers on and cold
73 if my wife set it - I'm then too hot in shorts and she still has three layers on....

    Thermostat wars!!

had to go convert from celsius...

63 in most of the rooms. 72 in the bedrooms at night (the kids throw their covers off all the time, so we keep the rooms a little warmer)

    66.

I work from home and move around a lot. If it were only me I would maybe go a few degrees down. When I work out I open a window. Plus I like to open a window a bit in each room to air things out. I live in Iowa.

Usually I set the heater around 73. I only run it during the night because it gets too hot in the afernoon in Tampa.

We usually keep it at 70, but now that I'm 23 weeks pregnant we keep it around 67-68.

61 would bring out the axe murderer in me, too! Ours is usually at 72, never lower than 68.

We live in a very old farmhouse so we set it on 60-62 and if we get cold we start the wood stove in the evenings, then it's like a strip-buck-naked 85 degrees.

60 is not cold. When we first moved in, before we added a ton of insulation, it was about 47 in my kitchen regularly.

Yes, 47 WITH the heat ON. :grumble:

That being said, I have a wood stove that ALWAYS has a fire in it.

It is usually between 75-80 in my house..

I don't have the heat on much, it's too expensive. Sometimes I will put it on 15 degrees (59F) for a few hours in the evening. It's about 44 F outside at the moment, not too bad.

64 by day and 57 by night.

If anyone is still cold then, they should just put on a sweater and some slippers.
