    September 10, 2012 @ 315 pounds.
    November 15, 2012 @ 275 pounds.

So, 2 months and 5 days.

BUT... my doctor had me on a super strict low calorie high protein diet to drop weight FAST because I was at a very critical place in my health. Once I dropped that first 40, we changed it all up and now I am supposed to be losing at a much more realistic and sustainable rate.

Next weigh in is the end of next week, so we'll see that I did in month 3.

Yep...first 40 came off in about 4 months. Second 40 took another 17 months. Surprisingly, it doesn't bother me it's happening much slower now. It's still coming off, so why worry. Besides, I'm too busy being awesome.

  • I have lost 44lbs in 16 months.
I was 192 lbs and now weigh 148 lbs. If I can get down to 140 lbs I will be happy as I am quite tall, at 5ft 10 :)

40 lbs was lost on my own and 4lbs is through MFP :) I have so many encouraging friends, it's no wonder so many people achieve their goals on here!! To everyone on this post: WOW!! Well done :) You've all done brilliantly :D xx

Since being on MFP I've lost 38. So from July to now. But officially since February I'm down 50 lbs.

I just hit the 45lb mark today! It took me like 7 or 8 months. It seems to be very slow, but it's working!
My MFP friends have been awesome motivators!
Due to my age and several medical issues, it took me a year to lose 45 pounds then another year to lose 15 pounds. I'm thinking it will take another year to lose the last 15 pounds. I don't know how to post pics or I'd gladly do so.

Great job! Good for you for sticking with it! I know a lot of people who lose slowly and just give up. You should be proud of yourself!

45 pounds since late March/early April. Never took starting pics - a decision I now regret a bit. I averaged .18 pounds a day or 5.4 days to lose 1 pound.

I just hit my 50lb mark on Sunday, and I started my weight loss journey in April of 2011. It's taken me quite a while! About 17lbs more to go to be in my healthy BMI range!

I dropped my first 40 pounds in about 3 months. Started at 283, and am currently at 218. I slowed down purposely to give my skin time to shrink with the rest of my body so i didnt have any sagging. so far its worked great, down 65 pounds in 1 year (tomorrow is my 1 year) and am feeling great!

The most I lost was 43 lbs. That was in June 2012. Took about 9 months to get there. I'm currently in maintenance mode fluctuating within 2 lbs of my goal weight. couldn't be happier .... :)

I have lost 67 pounds in 6 months. I'm getting ready to start insanity, hopefully to loose more inches than pounds.

Lost 62+ (not sure, as not weighing right now, but know it is more than 62) on MFP and about 4 before I joined. Down from 290.

I am 53 years old and started February 1, 2012~had a total abdominal hysterectomy on March 6 and after released by doctor started exercising. Short term goal is to get to OneDerland~LT goal is 150 lbs for a total lost of 140. It may take me a year from now to realize this goal, but it WILL happen!

I've lost 52lbs--don't have "progress pictures" but I will say that I went from a snug 24 to a loose 20/snug 18. It took me about 5-6 mos (slow progress) but I keep in mind that I haven't been as "disciplined" as I could have been. I did this w/o a 'workout' regimen so imagine if I had incorporated one. :)

    Thats AWESOME!!

My highest loss was 50. I started at 194 and hit 144 in March. I tend to get off track, so it took me about a year I think. (here's to hoping the photo fits/works)

OMG I was 190 and now 141.... I just looked at old pictures of me at 190 and I don't believe it.... You look wonderful! When I think of it now I don't think it is that much of a difference until I put the pictures up and I'm like "OMG seriously?"

A year and 1/2 to lose 45lbs. Why? Because it took me that long to get my act together. I made little changes over a very long period of time and it really worked for me. I knew I couldn't jump into this and make drastic changes to my routine. I would never stick with something if I had to change EVERYTHING Day 1...
  • you guys are all amazing! so i've learn it takes from around 6 months to 15 months to lose the weight depending on your starting weight. I'm 5'3 185 lbs now I want to lose 40 by may of next year, you guys think it's possible? I dnt lose much weight but I have been losing inches.

80 lbs in 6 months. Then I got pregnant, and I am now just shy of 4 months postpartum. I hope to hit a loss of 100 before the summer.

    This is from 5/11 - 12/11

I've lost 51lbs (maybe a couple more now) since July last year when I started exercising again when my 2nd baby was 7 weeks old, so it's taken me 16 months.

This is me with my very small baby:
