  • 2 stevia and a half shot of hazelnut kahlua. Always kicks off my morning right. My coworkers just think I'm pleasant.

This is not very calorie conscientious, but I usually drink my coffee with low-nonfat milk and vanilla flavored syrup. And if I'm indulging a bit, I usually get an Grande Iced Vanilla Latte from Starbucks with 2%milk which is 190 calories. I just can't do black coffee/ espresso.

    In my mouth
  • Dunkin Donuts medium coffee with skim milk and 2 splendas = 30 calories, 6 carbs, 0 fat, 2 grams of sugar. Sometimes have it black with 1 splenda.

I take it the way I like it. At home that means (full fat, full sugar) creamy creamer plus some Splenda. Out, it means H&H plus sugar.

My coffee is my happy place and it's how I chose to spend a certain number of calories per day. I've tried some of the alternatives, and to be honest, the cal difference isn't worth it to me. I want what I want when it comes to my coffee.
  • I don't drink coffee...but my fiance is insisting that butter in your coffee is healthy... So every morning he puts a spoon full of butter in it. Which I think is strange lol. Oh and he is very thin so idk.

I don't count the coffee itself, or the zero-cal sweetener.
I use almond milk and measure it - about 1/3c to my 8oz of coffee.
If I use a protein powder to make it a mocha latte, I'll count those calories.

In short: I cound the "creamer" and the protein powder if used.

Black or with a single creamer or spoon of whitener depends on where I got it or who made it. Some cheap chain coffees are just too nasty to drink black :P
  • Two splenda plackets(and no I don't care what you say I will still use it) and Vanilla creamer...mmmm:love:
  • 2 tablespoons of non-dairy milk & 1 (or 2 depending on the tooth) packets of stevia.

#1: Most times I use the sugar-free Coffee-mate creamer, either Vanilla or my newest favorite 'Peppermint Mocha'. I only use one Tbsp per cup and I DO measure it with an actual TBSP measuring spoon.

    OR

#2: Sometimes I use about 1 teaspoon of Splenda (the fiber kind which is a tad less sweeter than regular Splenda) and usually 1 Tbsp of half and half.

I am not there with drinking it black.

I know, I know ... all those 'additives and fillers' with the Coffee-mate.

I use a few tablespoons of flavored cream; and no sugar since it is already in the cream.
If I were to use a type of sugar, it would be Stevia.

With a large glob of heavy cream to start the day in the morning (and on the commute) then black at work.

Two heavy creamers to start the day at weekends.

I tried coconut oil and the whole butter/bulletproof thing in my low carb phase, didn't get on with it taste-wise :)

    This!
Agreed. There's no other way to drink it.

If you need to add anything to it to make the taste palatable, it's not worth drinking (IMO, anyway)

I like mine with two tablespoons of instant French vanilla cappuccino mix(80cal)
  • It's just like Soda pop. You should not be drinking it at all. People only think they need it because they become addicted. I have been working graveyard for 6 years and i don't drink it. It has no nutritional value. Just don't drink it at all. Find something that is healthier. Example: Water.

Right now I'm drinking Duncan Donuts Gingerbread Coffee.

I also mixed milk (oh no china study!) and some chocolate peanut butter cup whey protein (Trutein) and shook that in a shaker, then I pour that into my coffee as a creamer.

    This combination is amazing.

What are you basing your fear of coffee on?

^^ Doesn't seem like the same thing as soda pop to me, but meh...to each their own. ;)
