I tried Craigslist. She was great. But then I got broke and had to let her go. I loved her and I still miss her.0

I love one of the responses to one of my friends after her bf got drunk and asked if he could have an affair with someone. "does she do dishes?"0

I totally agree! All I really want in life is a mister mom...0

I'm pretty sure everyone gets it.
To the OP, how old are those kids? I'm a single mom and do all that stuff anyway (SO's aren't really a requirement). My kids help out. Maybe you can take that route.0 -
You may want to consider the "gay" thing; either that or magically grow a penis.0

you could get a buff house husband? he does all those things and he works out and has muscles.0

Funny! Even funnier that some people don't get the joke. Oh well.
Op I had one of those.
Now I have 'papers' and a dog. I am much happier0 -
I'd be willing to be the stay at home parent and not because I think it would be easier.
Not me. My wife worked outside the home until we had children, then she wanted to stay at home with them. I have been the stay at home parent - like 5 days (when she had to take her parents to appointments, etc). There is NO WAY I could be a stay at home parent.
The cooking, cleaning and laundry were no problem - but a 4 yr old and a 6 yr old will ZAP YOUR ENERGY!
I found a new respect for teachers and stay at home parents. And my wife started getting "Mommy's night outs" and "just because" flowers a lot more often.0 -

There was a joke? I thought she was just ranting. :huh:0 -
I have one of those, it's great. except I make dinner sometimes and one of us does dishes while the other put's the kids to bed. so we have more time to talk about our stressful days. well at least that how it was before we had to live apart so she could finish school while work out of state to pay the bills while she does her internship.0

I feel you. Edited to add one little detail--in our case, I'm the one with the career goals, and the one doing all the crap work.0

yes, yes. because not only are all husbands alike, but also wives are the only ones taken for granted.
i mean, i thought it was funny, but can we not pretend all men are neanderthals?
i try hard to make sure my wife would never have an occasion to make a post like this.0 -
