I got Yotam Ottolenghi's new book Plenty More for Christmas, so made this beautiful Watercress salad with quail eggs, seeds and ricotta. I substituted cottage cheese because that's what I had. It was gorgeous.

Medium/rare seared tuna steak on mint pea puree and sweet potato mash bed.
the tuna steak was marinaded in soy sauce, table spoon of soft brown sugar and garlic. cook it as you would your beef steaks, i like mine medium/rare

@nixology do you eat out everyday for almost every meal?

Haha, actually I cook 75% of the time but for my lunch bento as I work evenings and only come home at around 10 or 11 at night. Those posts go to the bento thread here. I eat out on most weekends as I do my big walks then or meet up with my friends :)

Hi all, I love this post. It has given so many ideas and inspiration for different foods.

Today I have plucked the courage to contribute to the thread. My food is mostly pot cooked stewed.

Today I had sundried baby okra (from summer time) and lamb stew. 6zbr2d6m25za.jpg

You actually manage to make cauliflower rice look like regular rice. How do you do it?

Another Big Walk day so it was a kimchi tofu stew with beef and a hazelnut ice blended to keep me going. After that huge meal, dinner was a simple one-pot marinated beef with sesame rice with a poached egg and stewed vegetables soup. Amazingly, I did not have space for dessert ... horrors!

Dinner time. You don't even understand how good this is unless you make it. Chicken in wine sauce or Coq Au Vin as the French will call it, with cauliflower rice, roasted squash garlic pure and cabbage slaw. Heaven.

Recipe for the chicken please!!!! Looks amazing!

I wish whoever keeps posting desserts would open her diary so we can see how she manages to fit it all.

    Inquiring minds want to know.
