The Unattainable soul mate..................

The trick is to wear earth tones and only go peeping after dark.
And hiding in bushes. Just watch out for the thorns.0 -
Do you have an unattainable soul mate? A person in your life who you connect to more than anyone else. A person who you try to find excuses to have physical proximity too. That takes your breath away just to see them smile. A path that can never be taken. A tragedy in the making.....

Ya, those are the worst, because, you know, they contain cops...........and they sometimes chase you.0 -

You can't chase what you can't see!0 -
Several times I thought I did.
but it was not the case.
Stuff like this is mostly a distraction from reality.
Just put it aside - the feelings will always be there.
Just no need to obsess over them.0 -

Flashlights are easy. For the dogs I just dab a few ounces of deer urine on my body.0 -
The situations I am referring to, and I apologise for not being more clear, are the ones where both parties feel it, but, due to life circumstances, it is impossible to act on.
Doesn't matter, it's the same deal, if they were your true soul mate in the sense you imply, you'd both be doing what needed to be done to make it work.
I mean, I think it's sad that you apparently think you have to be with or sleep with this person in order for them to your soul mate... I believe in a variety of types of soul mates, not just one above all others.
Oh, and for the record, this is not a matter of "not understanding" on my part. I understand more than I can explain. However, I ultimately grew up, came to terms with my own responsibility for my feelings, and faced the decision that has to be made.
You either decide to accept and move on emotionally so you can continue hanging out with the shared friends, or you move on physically and make new friends. You stop making excuses and whining about it, and moping in "heartache" over it. All this really is is an intense crush, and mooning over crushes like this is for the young kids.0 -
I was in a situation KINDA like that. I was married and had just had a baby...but I was in love with someone else. I figured I'd be one of those sad sacks that trudged on and from time to time think back on the great love they could've had had life been different. Then I thought "F that! I'm responsible for creating my own happiness!" So I grew some balls, left my husband, and now I'm with my soulmate! Now whenever I hear of someone who is constantly thinking "what if?" I'm like "ugh! Thank god I don't have to do that anymore!"0

My Husband is my soul mate. I have people in my life that have effected me in the way you descrtibe, but if I were to waste my time pining over them I would miss what God has in store for my husband and I!0

I attained mine, and she hers, and we're getting married next year.
Best of luck to you.0 -

Good luck, Charlie.0 -
Yep!!!! actually had the opportunity to be with them, but was too chicken, bashful, shy, stupid or just in pure unbelief that he felt the same way to act on it. Now he and I are both unhappily married to someone else. :sad:0

So...you are out-sourcing?0 -
Kind of. It's a man I have only seen like... a couple of times in my life (2 ocassion, a total of 4 days, we spoked only 2 `real` conversations). There was a connection I think... a ton of butterflies in the stomach when he is near... And his smile (and he smiled often) really taked my breath away...
Probably I won't see him again... or at most once in the future. He lives in another country and the `affairs` (to make a little joke) that led to our encounter are done. He is also older than me with more than 10 years and he is such way out of my league by many things...
But remembering the way he smiled... it was actually the only time in my life I felt the connection with someone from the first moments. I'm usually hit later by the army of butterflies.
Well... it's a nice crush. Actually made me feel alive after a long time of suffering due to my last boyfriend. I don't take it to serious... it's like those things it's better to dream on, than live in. )0
