    I am also doing a step challenge but want to walk more so I will record my formal walks/runs here:

  • Hey I just found the new challenge, I'm in again. 350 mile goal.

    12-31 75,301 steps 31.02 miles

    1-1 14,481 steps 6.09 miles(pretty well pooped from previous day)
    1-2 20,104 steps 8.12 miles
    1-3 24,627 steps 9.95 miles
    1-4 36,122 steps 14.75 miles
    And I am up to date.
    1-5 46,151 steps 18.99 miles

  • K, Sounds like a great challenge as my physical therapist has limited me to brisk walking and a few tummy squeezes per day so here we go. I will start with a mile 3x a week.

    January goal: 800 minutes of walking [average--35 minutes per day]

    Note only recording time on my treadmill below, which means on several days I will have several miles more that aren't included.
    1/1 2.93 miles 7121 steps (went to see Les Miserables which I thought was very good, first time not eating movie popcorn although I really wanted it)

    I'm definitely interested in doing this. I need all the motivation I can get. I'm doing a 7k marathon in April and I am so out of shape. I have been working out since Wednesday, 1/2/13. So far so good. I have alot of motivation from a friend who is in tip top shape. :)

    How do I do this?

    I carry my pedometer with me(Fitbit Ultra) and keep tabs of what I do for miles and steps daily, some people just keep running totals about how long they walked/ran. Do whatever you feel comfortable with.

    My pedometer remembers what I did in days past so I can post the information since the beginning of the month

    January 3---9.48 miles
    January 4---9.14 miles
    January 5---8.88 miles
    January 6--11.17 miles
    January 7---10.43 miles

  • I am in. Long time lurker, first time poster. :)

    I have walked:

    1/07 - 1 hour @ 3mph
    1/08 - 1 hour @ 3mph

    Can anyone suggest a good pedometer? I am using apps on the iPhone but find they don't always accurately count my calories or MPH.

    Looking forward to getting to know you all and encourage each other!

    I got in 30 minutes (1.75 miles) of dreadmill intervals on 1/9 and 40 minutes (2.5 miles) of dreadmill intervals on 1/8.
