    Hey I just found the new challenge, I'm in again. 350 mile goal.

    12-31 75,301 steps 31.02 miles

    1-1 14,481 steps 6.09 miles(pretty well pooped from previous day)
    1-2 20,104 steps 8.12 miles
    1-3 24,627 steps 9.95 miles
    1-4 36,122 steps 14.75 miles
    1-5 46,151 steps 18.99 miles
    1-6 48,080 steps 20.11 miles
    1-7 31,282 steps 12.63 miles
    First week of January total miles is 90.64 miles. Not a bad start.

    .I walk mostly with my dogs but sometimes with a friend or my hubby.

    My pedometer is an Omron HJ-720ITC......it doesn't recognize all the steps I take when I dance so on dance days it doesn't look like I went as far as on days when I walk more.and dance less.:laugh:

    I just downloaded Accupedo to my phone yesterday to track my walking. My goal is 10,000 steps a day. Yesterday, Jan 14 I walked 1255 steps. Ugghh!! That was just the walking I did doing everyday things at work.

    Today I'm going to make an effort to go walking on my breaks at work! Will check in w/ today's steps later.

    My pedometer is an Omron HJ-720ITC......it doesn't recognize all the steps I take when I dance so on dance days it doesn't look like I went as far as on days when I walk more.and dance less.:laugh:

    what a great motivation! when people are over weight it is hard to jump into a extreme exercise regimen because it is not only hard on their joints but it is also discouraging when one can't keep up with the others in the group! so,, walking is the best way to start shedding those pounds and getting use to exercising.

    So far I've only been keeping track of how many steps I'm taking and not mileage. I'll start keeping track of time and mileage from this point on. My goal is over 10,000 steps every day.

    I am also doing a step challenge but want to walk more so I will record my formal walks/runs here:
    1/5: 30 minutes
    1/6: 64 minute walk
    1/10: 65 minute walk/run
    1/11: 60 minute walk with my sister
    1/14: 30 minute walk
    I got some work this week with a long commute but at least it is active
    1/19: 15 minute walk before work
