Eve23, what are you doing? Just counting calories or something else too? Your weight loss is great and I would love some tips.

    Thank you Marie,
The biggest thing I am doing is counting calories. My diet is somewhat limited because of allergies. So I take in very little dairy products. I do eat some yogurt and cheese but otherwise I don't touch it. I have been doing a high fiber diet more or less that I am not good at following however I do take a lot of the tips and use them. I also do not consume any corn products that includes corn syrup. I do not consume aspartame as it gives me migraines and my husband suffered from aspartame poisioning many years ago. We do not use sucrulose or splenda product. We keep things as natural as possible.

I do walk for exercise but most of that is done at work. I have changed my settings to 35% to 40%carb , 40 protein, and 25% fat. I raised my fiber intake 35 which is recommended and it keeps you from having cravings and full.

Honestly that is the only things I do. Besides taking vitamin supplements and a supplement for my thyroid.

Thanks Eve. I have read a lot about eating more natural foods over processes foods. (I'm not too good at this.) I also changed my settings so that my carb intake would only be 25 %. (Carbs seem to be a real problem area for me.) Anyway, thanks for your input and encouragement. Keep up the good work!

Good for you Healthier- Nice to be back on track huh? (especially after eating alfredo!)

As for me, I gained a half a pound. But my percent body fat went down two percent since last time I checked! yeah! and I think I didn't eat nearly enough over the past 4-5 days. So, next time I am sure I will have recouped that slight gain. In the meantime I will dream about alfredo................Do not even tell me how good it was!

    Thanks Julie!
It sure does. I was so surprised not to see 130 on the scale this morning.

My lips are sealed on the alfredo :-x
  • alrighty ...didn't have the best week last week , didnt gain but didnt loose either ...hate those weeks ...but in the end i noticed i didnt put in the work , and may ...have cheated on my food intake a bit. not bad stuff , but a little more than normal ....so in the end it really motivated me to watch howw i ate this weekend and worked my butt off ..no pun intended.....i went from 286 to 284 ...so 4 lbs since last friday ....so in total ...307 start weight on september 10 - october 16 284 = total weight loss ...23 lbs ...its amazing how much more energy i have ....and i hope you all feel the same energy ...its a bugger at tnight though ...finding it harder to sleep ...my body wants to be up doing somehting instead of laying down .....but i am sure that will change ....lotsa losses ..to you all ...michael

I can't believe this but I am actually down to 123! When I started I was 131. I have about 4-5 more lbs to go and I will be happy! my dress fitting is November 1st!
  • I think it's been awhile since I updated. I just completed by 7th week. I started at 204, am now at 187.8. So, that's 16lbs in 7 weeks! Nothing like good old fashioned calorie counting...

I started in mid March and weighed 202lbs.

Since then I've been doing (fairly) regular workouts, mainly weights and high intensity interval training (about 3-4 times a week). Today I weighed in at 182!!

What I'm hoping to do now is tone up some more in time for my wedding on 23rd Feb (and my month of summer on the beach before that!) in Australia. I desperately want back that 6-pack I had 5 years ago!!! :-)

I guess I could lose another 5 or 6 lbs...but I am 6'2....The weight itself doesn't mean that much, as long as my body is toned :-)

    JKArts-

Congrats on the upcoming wedding and your weight loss! What part of Australia are you going to????

Good luck on the toning! I'm sure you will look great in your suit, and be a beautiful bride:)

    thanks Kim :-)

We're getting married in a place called stanwell tops, near Sydney. You can check out our site at http://jasonandtara.weddingannouncer.com

My bride-to-be is dominating the gym at the moment - we moved here to the US for my work, and she's playing the housewife so she has a bit of spare time to work out! I think she's gone from 125 down to 118...but she's looking very toned already (and hot! haha)
  • I started 10-16 not getting off to a great start!
    I weigh 271 = (
My goal weight 190 small goal lose 10 pds by Nov. 20th.
I was doing excerises for almost 2 wks straight at a local YMCA but than I started to eat like crazy. Now I've gained more weight because I didn't monitor my portions or what I was eating. I need to seriously shape it up. Even my pants are tighter. Every time I step on the scale I can't believe it. I'm hoping the Y and this website it will help. It's nice to hear everyone else battle too. I don't feel so alone.
