blend the milk and the spinach first and then slowly put in a few of the frozen fruit at a time. Inexpensive blenders do just fine, it jsut won't blend all the frozen fruit at once. Sometimes I let the fruit thaw out a little before adding them in.

So many great-looking recipes! Thanks for sharing.

I don't have a recipe but have added baby spinach to many different types of smoothies and I can't taste the spinach at all. So I guess any smoothie can be a "green" smoothie.

1 tbsp instant coffee (i added for a little boost)
1/2 cup wild berries.i will probably do a whole cup (antioxidants, immune booster, fast source of energy)

I made one the other day with 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1/4 frozen banana, 1 cup frozen tropical fruit medley, 1 scoop protein powder, and 2 large handfuls of baby spinach. I blended everything but the spinach first to get a nice creamy consistancy. Then I added the spinach and blended thoroughly. Added a few ice cubes and blended til it was ready. Very tasty.

awesome, I just got my blender today & I think i have everything on hand for this except only frozen banana & frozen mango, no tropical medley...still i am going to try it out later. thanks!

had this awesome concoction the other day... ohhh heaven!

    In order, into your blender/ninja/etc-

    4 ice cubes
    32g chocolate whey isolate
    1 tbsp cocoa powder
15g peanut flour (2 Tbsp PB2 or 1 Tbsp natural PB works too)
    8oz almond milk, unsweetened
    70g spinach
1 cup (140g) frozen mango pieces
    1/2 cup (70g) frozen blueberries
    (additional water as necessary)

This makes enough for 2 servings, but I honestly had the entire thing. It was around 330 calories so for breakfast, it was very filling and delicious and absolutely worth it. No sharing. If you wanted a snack or post-workout treat, you could share I suppose

I use extra ice because I like my smoothies really thick. Totally optional, but if you do use them put them in first.
