since when is telling a woman that she has a pretty face an insult? i don't get it.

Depending upon the context, It can marginalize or objectify the person.

Of course saying she has an ugly face isn't going to go over well either.

Look, just don't mention her face.

ok. i think it's probably best for me to stare at her boobs then, so that i don't make her self-conscious by accidentally staring at her face.

See? It's not that difficult to be respectful.

You can avoid being judged for your pretty face by wearing a bag over it.

    Preferably one of paper.

    ^^THIS.

Indeed. And even if she does not, I'm sure she is still more than JUST a pretty face. I just found it funny someone would say work on your education when most likely they have no clue what her educational level is. I was simply pointing out she could be very educated. I'm confident she has avocations, interests, etc. that make her a lot more than JUST a pretty face. People usually are not one dimensional. :flowerforyou:

I used to get that all the time "you have such a pretty face, but......", now I just get "You are SO pretty". You either have to get used to hearing the "but", or do something about it.

Ehh. I'd rate you meh. Not necessarily a pretty face. Title is misleading.

    Harsh...

I understood exactly what OP meant, and I found some of the posts disturbing and the kind of jibes I presumed only people of school age would throw. So sad.

After seeing some of the self-absorbent posts on here I'm very tempted to start a thread titled 'Get over yourselves' and see how many of them would post how completely perfect and hot they are....though, I think the majority of those posts were written to make OP feel bad about herself.

Or, many people, including yourself, misunderstood posts written by others.
