Depends on the man the hair is attached to.

Same. It works with some people, and it doesn't with others. And if someone is great enough in other ways, who cares if they're hairy or smooth?

So much true wisdom for such a young but yet beautiful lady :):):)

I can remember the days when the whole hairless and/or "man-scaping" thing was predominantly practiced by muscleheads/gymrats, swimmers and (road) bikers. Personally, I'll simply never understand why the whole pre-pubescent look has become such a trend these days, for men and women. Thankfully, I have no back hair to speak of, so I'll stick with what I was given (particularly since my wife has no issue/complaint with it).

I'm with you. i dont know how looking like you havent hit puberty yet (on a man) is supposed to be hot.

I loves me some men with beard, mustache and side burns.
But if the beard runs up the cheeks and down the neck... EWW !

and the only body hair acceptable is the happiness trail...

So, your wife doesn't shave her legs or arm pits then? Because as a woman, I think it's safe to say that most of us have not magically remained hairless in those areas since we became post-pubescent.

My personal preference is, if I have to keep things nice and smooth, I'd like my man to do the same thing. He can leave his legs alone. And I don't mind a little chest hair, so long as it's being tamed.

What's the general consensus among the women?

    Hairy chest/stomach is good/meh/avoid?

    What about back hair?

I'm not a fan, but it's just a personal preference. To each her own.

Personally, I find this disgusting. I know A LOT of women like this, but my first reaction is to wince and roll my eyes.

Agreed. I like my menfolk to be more rustic than that. He's an attractive guy but not my ideal.

What my suggestion for you would be to find a happy medium where you feel comfortable. When you find yourself a lady, see what her preference is and, if you're ok with it, just go ahead and tailor it to her specific preference.

I like a fresh shaved or maybe a bit of stubble on the face.
    Back hair...uh no
A bit of trimming down low.
But as for the rest of it, i like fuzzy guys, so long as its not out of control fuzzy. I can't say im a big fan of the shaving the whole body. I think it feels weird. I love a guys leg hair and chest hair for some reason.

firstsip - Sorry to say I haven't read EVERY thread in the forums, and must've missed the one to which you are referring (ie body shaming). That said, what I stated was merely my opinion, and don't recall singling anyone out....either by name or body style. My comment was in regards a particular trend toward "man-scaping". Sorry if it offends, but in this day and age its impossible to please everyone all the time....

My point was that my wife doesn't mind my being "au naturale", and (truth be told), I've never told her she MUST shave. If she goes a couple days without shaving, I could care less...she's more bothered by it than me. I personally think shaved legs/pits looks better on a woman, though NOT other areas. Again, that is my personal preference, and she's certainly not bound to it.

I like them all :) When I like them, the whole hair thing is just part of the package. I never dated anyone who was totally covered, though. Not really into the ones who shave and such.... And if they get their nails done, it really feels more like a girlfriend. Sorry - old school. What is fashionable in body hair has really changed a lot over the past 30 years!!! I blame porn.....

Easy, you younger generation folks!! The shaving of all the body is a recent trend. Back in the 'Hippie" days, shaving anything was totally uncool. Every generation has its fashions. Still, I blame porn.

I LOVE hairy men. I don't mean overly hairy, but I like hair on my men.

    Chest hair=Sexy
    Stomach hair=Pretty sexy
Facial hair=Don't even get me started. ;)
    Arm/Leg hair=To die for

The only part I definitely dislike hair on is his private parts.

The masculinity of hair is just something that women naturally like on men. I hate it when guys take all their hair off or they pluck their brows or whatever. It sounds so feminine. I don't want to be in the bathroom fighting over tweezers, you know?

Some chest hair is fine. Even some stomach hair is acceptable. But when it covers the shoulders or sticks out of the collar of the shirt. Not so hot. BUT if I got to know and like him before I realized he was super hairy I would probably deal with it. At the same time I think it is incredibly weird when men wax or shave.
