While we're at it... STOP hating on Pop Tarts

Nobody should hate on anybody's comfort foods. If you need to cut down or cut out altogether, you'll know when, but if that's your one (or 2)indulgence, carry on...... my weakness is Sweetarts. They're going to destroy my teeth and I still haven't looked up their calories. I get off them for a month or so and then......I see some at the store...and I do it all over again.....and I'm diabetic...0

the best (in order of my favorites)
Wild Berry (in the toaster)
Unfrosted Strawberry (in the toaster)
Chocolate Chip (un-toasted)
.... yes. I seriously only like three flavors of pop tarts. don't look at me like that! *hides*0 -
Because the last time I had any they tasted like sugar-coated cardboard. I would rather eat a nice doughnut.0

Hate is such a strong word.
I won't waste my calories on foods I do not like. Poptarts are overly dry and yucky to me. I have never liked them. *shrug*0 -
Greatest thing EVER...
My favorite are Cherry, not Strawberry. :sick:0 -
Tried them for team luck......Coach had a wreck on a harley with his mistress, got fired, and we had a bad season. Never will eat one again!!!

S'more Pop Tarts for me, good sir.
Yessssss0 -
I've never had a pop tart. But that red velvet thing looks good.
How many calories in one?0 -
I love blueberry unfrosted Poptarts, but they are almost impossible to find now in my city. So that's one temptation I can avoid. *sigh*0
-
I love frosted strawberry. But I can't just eat two. I can exercise moderation for almost any food-- poptarts are not one of them.0

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Poptart smeared in nutella and covered with another Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Poptart.
Yes.0 -
Dangit I just swore off cake and now I have to go get red velvet pop tarts!!!0

Totally unscientific sampling methods, so not really 'scientific', but every time someone passed out after giving blood, we'd ask them what they'd had before they came, and the answer was always either, they hadn't and just lied about it on the intake forms, or they'd had pop tarts.0

How many calories in one?
unfrosted strawberry has 200 calories per pop tart, and they come in foil bags of 2 pop tarts, so 1 bag was 400 calories. which is right about what my other breakfasts end up being.0 -

How many calories in one?
Generally 200 calories per pastry, and there are two pastries in a package. Most people eat the package.0 -
3 words: brown sugar cinnamon (no frosting) Oooops, that's 5 words.
Except mine has the frosting. I love it!
I ate that the night before, the night before that...and this morning. Soooooo gooooooodddddddd......0 -
Now I want a goddamn box of poptarts.0

That's doable.0 -

Pop Tarts are like everything else. Always better with ice cream and beer0

I only like the gingerbread ones, but they're seasonal.0

I have to disagree with you on that..lol. Poptarts are already really sweet for me...if I teamed it up with ice cream, I'd throw up. And the beer...I would think it would make it extra bitter (which is fine if you like really bitter beer).0 -
Now I have to duck out of this thread because this comp diet is hard enough without torturing myself with fantasies of what Red Velvet Pop Tarts might taste like, and reminding myself of the pure joy I derive from demolishing some Hot Fudge Sundae or Cookies and Cream Pop Tarts.

I like the cinnamon brown sugar one without frosting.
I haven't had one in a while... My perspective has changed i guess. 6 grams of protein for 400 calories...Not worth it. Not for a poptart at least. I'm not a poptart lover, and I rarely buy the kids them cause they'll be gone really quick.0 -

I haven't seen them for years (UK) but then I haven't been looking. Now you've made me want to find some.0

I am in recovery for my frosted cherry addiction..........0

I've never had a pop tart.
I know, I know. Take me out back and shoot me :laugh:0 -
