DO IT! Today was my 4 week weigh-in...10 lbs! It CAN be done! Log all your food, exercise (I did strictly cardio this month), and stay within the alotted calorie amount and you be 10 down in 4!

My weigh in day is on Sunday so I will weigh in then Sunday Feb. 3rd and go until Sunday March 3rd. I'm in...10 lbs would put me back to where I was when I stopped MFP to go on vacation in July 2012. Thought I didn't need the help...boy was I wrong!!

I'm in! I've been calorie counting and limiting myself to 1200 calories/day. I only lost 4 lbs in January, so here's hoping to lose more this month! Here's where I am:

    2/1 - 174 lbs
    2/8 -
    2/15 -
    2/22 -
    3/1 -

As I mentioned, I'm in...but I'm not sure 10 pounds in a month is a realistic goal for me. I will certainly try to lose as much as I can

    Fellow February losers....

I need a reminder to focus on the positive in this thread and not the negative nellies telling people what they can't do....so I'm writing it down.

If anyone wants to send a friend request...I'd love that too!

    Happy February Losing Y'all!

No one's trying to be a downer. Just saying that 2.5 pounds is above the typically quoted healthy weekly weight loss - unless you are currently 250+ pounds.

I don't doubt anyone's resolve, commitment or ability. Just perhaps their common sense.

I agree that 10lbs is a bit unrealistic for most but I'm still in!

If trying to reach this goal encourages me to push myself a little harder then it can only be a good thing as my weightloss seems to have stalled.

Today I began the 30DS and I've been trying to work out for at least an hour everyday mixing it up between Pop Physique, Suzanne Bowan's Belly Blitz and dancing. I've increased my calorie intake from 1200 to 1400 this week as I'm just too darn tired all the time at less.

Hate to be the one to psis on your Cheerios, but the goal is unrealistic.

1 pound of weight loss = 3,500 Calories deficit
10 pounds of weight loss = 35,000 Calories deficit
    February 2013 = 28 days
Daily Caloric deficit required = 1,250

Now unless most of you are morbidly obese, you aren't going to run a 1,250 deficit without going well below your RMR, or even BMR.

I'm not saying this to be dcik. I just want everyone to realize that this would typically be considered an unhealthy goal. Somewhere between 5 to 8 pounds would be a stretching, achievable, healthy goal for February.

I agree U r right Max 2 pounds per week not more than that
