Poop

so i haven't had a poop in days.... have a really bad feeling i may be constipated, any suggestion on how i can get things moving again?

    A big bowl of oatmeal...the long cooking kind. Add rasins. Then have a big green salad for lunch or dinner.

  • Are you drinking lots of water? That does wonders for keeping you regular.

    not drinking enough water is a common cause of this. a lack of healthy fat in the diet can cause this too. fibre helps, but too much of the wrong kind can make it worse. eat fruit rather than bran flakes

    I drink a hell of a lot of water due to the fact it helps prevent boredom eating or snacking too much. I thought it could have been the fat so started using a little butter again but hasnt seemed to help. I eat a lot of fruit and veg... may give prunes a go

    I was just at my Dr yesterday and she said either Miralax until you go OR drink lots of water, eat lots of fiber, or take a fiber supplement.

    you need more fiber and lots of green veggies and drink large amounts of water; if all else fails try a laxative.

    Try the "Dieter's Tea" or "Colon Cleanse Pills" both work wonders for me when I am having issues! Dieter's Tea at the grocery store and Colon Cleanse pills at some grocery stores but definintely at a health food store like GNC.

    I have to take a daily fiber supplement even with drinking tons of water and healthy eating.

    Ummm... you have a daily calorie goal of 830 calories?!?!?!??!?!?

    Try eating something, you probably dont have enough in your system to actually have a bowel movement.

    I had this problem too. Be careful with Fiber One cereal or bars; they can cause really painful gas and sometimes they don't help with the "go" problem at all, so you're uncomfortably constipated AND in agony. No good. What worked well for me was benefiber chews, LOTS of water, and walking. Prunes don't hurt either. I really like sunsweet orange essence prunes. Make sure to eat your greens, and throw in some tea (coffee helps too, but if you don't like it, tea should help just as well).
  • Have a cup or two of black coffee
  • Have you recently changed your suppliments (vitimins)? This can be a contributing factor.

    Do a salt water rinse... you drink 1 liter of warm water with 2 tablespoons of sea salt... then don't plan on going anywhere for a few hours... cleans everything right out....

    more raisins if you already eat them, lol. you could try prune juice too. i had constipation issues in grade school and drank a glass of prune juice daily mixed with sprite...tastes like crap though.
