My favorite part is where the proponents of the Vegan lifestyle always demand peer reviewed studies to rebut their arguments that are formed around nothing more than YouTube videos of some guy's opinion...or baby chickens being ground into McNuggets. Neither is exactly compelling.

I <3 self-righteous vegetarians and vegans like the gentleman with the green shirt.

They always make me feel so much better about myself.

^This. Seriously...meat eaters or not...when you start calling other people donkeys and crap like that just because they disagree with you or decide to live their lives the way they want to (even with doing their own research)....you just lost all credibility as well as maturity points.

Give me vegans/vegetarians like Sara or MoreBean any day. Those are the ones I respect.

  • I've been raw vegan for 8 months. My nurtirtion levels are stellar. Not a single low level. My cholesterol is almost unreadable on tests. And I stength train and body build.
  • WRONG WRONG WRONG where do cows and other herbivores get THEIR B12? Oh right, roots and tubular plants.
  • I'm picking fights? By posting my own, not rude, but simply questioning, opinion of a forum when the title is CLEARLY labeled vegan? The meat eaters who come on to this topic JUST to argue are the ones picking fights. Get your damn story straight, yo.

You should probably quote things when you reply to them in this manner, as this appears to make absolutely no sense outside of it's proper context. Also...you said yo....really? :(

We're the only species wearing clothes. Doesn't that seem a bit off to you?

A piece of advice to the OP: talk less, think more. It will do wonders.

My dog has 5 outfits. Invalid

    ;)
  • So I'm a bad person for posting my opinion and asking questions? Where did I "call out" anyone? I never said that someone is less good of a person for consuming dairy. I am just asking questions and stating my opinion. Don't assume what I think, it makes you look like an *kitten*.
  • There are these people called nudists. Yeah, they're pretty primal. ;)

You're the one that chose to read this dumbass. I didn't force you to read MY opinion. Don't like veganism? Don't click on a topic with the name, "Vegan theories at 3 in the morning". Simple as that.
And you chose to read the replies.

We can also turn this round and say "Don't ask questions on a public forum about Food and Nutrition if you don't want people to air their views on this".

Not in this thread maybe - but the other thread:
I've come to the conclusion that avid dairy/egg indulgers are just as ignorant as meat eaters, I gotta say. Do a little research, try Forks Over Knives for size. Maybe look into the China Study by Colin T. Campbell. How's your cholesterol? I'm curious. Do you ever have problems with constipation or bloating? Acne? Eating Boca burgers with your veggie superiority complex has got to be rather embarrassing.

I has been vegan for 11 years. I will tell ya something, by the time you been vegan over a decade, you are bored to tears of these dicsussions.

Lead by example, with sound logical reasons for your choices. Do not get high and mighty.

Ain't no one ever said "I went vegan after meeting an annoyingly self-righteous vegan."

QFT That last sentence works with just about everything.

I work for a company that designs cholesterol and other lab tests, the world leader in fact - if yours are "almost unreadable" you live in 1975. Or the printer is out of ink.

Oh, i was attacking people's lifestyles? Dude, thanks for telling me! I had NO ****ing clue that stating my own opinion (that was not neither rude or attacking anyone personally) was considered attacking someone's beliefs. Thanks for telling me exactly what I was thinking, I had no idea that;s what it was.

    Seriously? **** off.

I'd suggest you tone it way down, you aren't going to make the weekend with that attitude. But hey, good luck on your journeeeeey.

Actually, it comes from the soil and water the cows eat.

We could actually get more B12 from vegetables if we didn't wash the dirt off......

I had this lovely visual of a herd of lactating human women being "milked" so that human adults could continue drinking milk that is inrended fir humans...weird!!
I truly don't understand the vast amounts of people who promote the use of egg whites and whey in everything.

Am I the only one here that realizes there are far healthier forms of protein that work just as well, if not better?

I"m the one with a weird "fad" for eating raw vegan? When people who are in their 30's and 40's are still suckling cow's milk like it's no tomorrow.

Cow's milk is made for cows. Human milk is made for humans. If your going to drink milk that's for helping infants grow can't you at least drink it from your own species? Hell, cows and humans are in totally different families. The genetic make up of their milk is far different.

Dairy is made to make a calf grow to 500lbs in under a year. A calf is around 1/5th the size of a full grown heifer, now a human child is 1/32th the size of it's mother. Does anyone else see what's wrong with that picture?

Has anyone else notices we're the ONLY species that drinks milk past the 1 year mark? Does that not seem a bit off to you?

Or maybe it's all the other mammals on this planet are the ones doing wrong. Maybe cats should drink goat milk and goats should drink raccoon milk and raccoons should drink kangaroo milk. That makes sense right?

Go eat some dirt and drink some tainted water I bet you wont improve your B12 levels. B12 is actually further synthesized in the stomach lining of ruminates via the microbes which further modify the vitamin with cobalt making it bioavailable for humans. Most B12 found in the soil is not available for digestion by our stomach sorry douodenum and ileus. Some nutritional yeast and komboucha (spelling it wrong) may provide B12 but once again the actual bioavailability of it remains questionable.

Elevated homocysteine levels and B12 pernicious anemia among vegans and vegetarians is actually a real thing along with malnutrition of sulfur containing amino acids, vitamin E, and vitamin D. Not saying that you cant be healthy as a vegan, but I am saying that without proper supplementation vitamin deficiency is a real risk.
