I DON'T eat avocados anymore. Given the option I would eat 5 of them in one sitting.

They're like a drug to me, so I won't let myself buy them anymore.

what is opened faced grilled cheese?

i just used butter spray on a slice of bread...then lay the bread butter side down in a pan and top it with mozzarella, baby spinach, and sliced avacado until its golden...add alittle pepper and you have an open faced grilled cheese:)

Yummy! This may be a silly question but when you say baby spinach, is that fresh spinach?

    yes it is:)

I love them with pink grapefruit - makes a great salad
Love them plain too with salt/pepper and either lime or lemon juice
What a great combo. Thanks for posting. Yummmmm :flowerforyou:

Mashed and spread on toast with a sprinkle of salt and pepper

OR just plain. I like just opening one and sitting on the couch with a spoon and eating it like some people would a bag of chips

I smash two hard boiled eggs with 1/4 - 1/2 avocado - it makes a delicious egg salad, sometimes with 9 seed bread sometimes just out of the bowl

    1. Slice avocado into halves
    2. Take out pit and leave in skin
    3. Sprinkle salt in it
    4. Mashing it up in the skin
    5. Get spoon or carrot dip chips
    6. Fall in love with avocados all over again
    7. Repeat, lol

I cut it in half and fill the pitt holes with pistachio oil. Then I sprinkle a little sea salt and paprika. Recipe via Dorie Greenspan's Around My French Table.

A single toasted slice of Whole Wheat bread smeared with almond butter (or sometimes peanut butter) and some slices of avacado on top. This is my favorite b'fast or snack.

    With a spoon!

Or in grilled cheese, or with chicken strips, black beans and salsa. Or with a spoon, or a million other ways!

I'll sometimes put guacamole on my sandwiches, but if I'm eating a plain avocado, I love it with some balsamic vinegar and salt. so delicious.
