Dislike any on a female. Shows my age I guess.
    Shows your sexism I guess.

Got mine in 1998, before it had a name. Wanted it somewhere I could cover up since I was in college and not sure what I was going to be just yet. Doesn't seem to bother my hubby either. Could care less if others like it since nobody sees it unless I'm in a swim suit or being badass and running with no t-shirt over my sports bra.

Bah, you guys. Half of you are so awful.

Please imagine me later--with my so-called tramp stamp--taking my daily walk totally Haters Gonna Hate style.

    AND BEING COMPLETELY AWESOME.

I feel the same way about tramp stamps that I feel about any tattoo.

    Sometimes they are really cute.
And sometimes they are really cheap looking.

Depends on the tattoo and the artist who drew it.
^THIS. There's one TS that sticks out in my mind. I was waiting in a long returns line at Walmart. The lady at the front of the line was wearing low cut jeans. When she bent over to sign a receipt, her TS appeared... it was a pair of heavily-mascara'd women's eyes with curled fingers underneath. As apparently designed, the tat looked like a woman inside her pant peeking out over her waistband. I thought it looked really cool from the angle I was viewing, but imagined that it might look REALLY creepy since by itself (e.g. without the context of pants/panties). But hey, that's why our eyes have lids and lights have 'off' switches, right?

Wish I had more hands so I could give that tattoo four thumbs down...

Are you talking about lower back tattoos? I like tattoos on pretty much any part of the body. :) Can't wait to cover myself in them.
Giving lower back tattoos a label such as 'tramp stamp' is just unnecessarily demeaning women who choose to get inked.

I have one and love it! Its a Starman from Mario and split above/below is the lyric "there's a starman waiting in the sky" in the font from the end of the original mario game. So we married mario and david bowie, lol. My partner designed it for me. I have four tattoos as of now.

There can be only one Starman....

Personally they don't bother me...............unless it's a female over 40 getting one to try to compete with the 20 year old females. If you're smokin' hot at 40 without one, there's no need to get one.

You need no target, why ruin a perfect line? Plus the back dimples are where your thumbs go anyway.

Not permanent tattoos. You need temp tattoos that can be changed every day...maybe put the sports page there.
Give a guy something to read while he's busy.

I think they're hot. I don't want one. Saving up for a hip tattoo.

Getting a tattoo is the current fad. The younger kids will want to be original when they get older and find something else to identify with.

There is nothing that turns me off faster than a woman/girl with a tattoo. I'm glad I'm not working in the health-care industry in about 50 years when all those sagging tattoos check in....gross!!!!!

If you are grossed out by a slightly blurry tattoo then a career in health care is probably not for you.

Imagine inserting a catheter into said old woman................... Thats pretty tame and should not gross you out, were you to want to work in healthcare.

Perhaps try living in a cave - you won't have to look at anybody 'gross' then.

    Dislike.

But then again I'm not a huge fan of tattoos any way.

Yeah, my grandad and his buddies got them in WW2. There is strong evidence that the Vikings had a thing for tattoos.

    Quite a long fad, then.

I like my tattoo, I do not call it a tramp stamp despite modern terminology for it. I got my tattoo when I was 18, 11 years ago before it was called a "tramp stamp". I got it on my back because I was in the Army Reserves and could not have a visable tattoo in uniform. It is also something I drew, and it certainly is not a butterfly. Butterflies had just started to become popular when I got my tattoo... back in the day :p In any case I love it, and can't wait 'til I am old and it goes from a mean kitty to a saggy upside down tribal looking turtle. Love it.
Besides you barely see it in clothing.

But here's the detailed version. I never finished it either, maybe some day.

Well, just don't get a butterfly 'tramp stamp'. Have them use needles instead of a stamp. That way, the ink won't wash off, and it will be called a 'tramp tattoo'.

Hmmmm. When I got mine at 49 it had nothing to do with anyone else; I did it because I wanted it. Why do you think someone over 40 is trying to compete with 20 year olds? A 20 year old is so far out of my league and world I wouldn't even know what's going on with them.

  • Have one, love it, have had many others love it too.

I do dislike attempts at slut shaming and thus I dislike the word tramp because like so many similar words it implies that there is something wrong with a woman who wants to have sex.

But again, don't really care if anyone thinks I'm a "tramp" because I have a stamp or like sex. They can kiss my butt; it's easy to find with the tattoo above it.
