Have one, love it, have had many others love it too.

I do dislike attempts at slut shaming and thus I dislike the word tramp because like so many similar words it implies that there is something wrong with a woman who wants to have sex.

But again, don't really care if anyone thinks I'm a "tramp" because I have a stamp or like sex. They can kiss my butt; it's easy to find with the tattoo above it.
Valid point, what is wrong with liking sex? Also how does a tattoo make you want sex more? Is ink a aphrodisiac through osmosis?

Got mine before the terminology 'tramp stamp' came into play. It's an awesome tattoo, I love it all these many years later. And guess what kids and weight fluctuations have not marred it in the 'tramp stamp' location. So suck it all you haters!

I got my 'tramp stamp' in 1997.. back in the old days... because I liked the design and like having tattoos placed symmetrically on my body. I don't care anything about what anyone else does with their body, and couldn't care less what anyone thought about mine.

    This!!!

I really hate the term "tramp stamp" ......... I have one there and not many people know I have it becasue I don't go around with it hanging out.... I have had it for almost 10 years and the only thing I would change is design.

I agree with this also, my weight gain has not caused it to look funny......

Nope. Not on my husband anyway. But the butterfly tramp stamp on the agent in Californication is a riot.

i'd only consider henna. And likely not in that location, though my hubby really likes that spot. My skin is unmarked, and i prefer it that way... as pure as the driven snow (on the outside anyway..haha)

You need no target, why ruin a perfect line? Plus the back dimples are where your thumbs go anyway.

    Solid argument

Thank you. To each his own but I love the purity of the body and feel no need to adorn it.

Depends on the tat and if the person can pull it off...I have seen some cute tats in that location but personally I prefer my tats in a different location.

I especially dislike the butterfly ones OMG so so played out lol..

but...but... I was gonna get a butterflye tatoo.

Well, just don't get a butterfly 'tramp stamp'. Have them use needles instead of a stamp. That way, the ink won't wash off, and it will be called a 'tramp tattoo'.

Heh, I thought "tramp stamp" referred to a tattoo. I'll get a butterfly tattoo then. EAT MY SHORTS critics!

It is...I was just playing with the words.....wait one minute....you're wearing edible shorts?!?!

    How you doin'?

    Is that trashy? :blushing:

    God I hope so.

If my backside looked like that, I probably wouldn't have a tramp stamp either. But it doesn't and I do.
  • I have one on my back that I deeply regret! So no!

Ummm I have one one but wish I didn't.. So I'm going to say no. I got mine when I was 17, it's not a bad tattoo. But now I wish it just wasn't there.

OMG my 8 year old son would LOVE this!! It's his favourite song :) and Mario too!! I would show him but then he would probably draw it on himself in permanent marker hahahaha

    Such a cute tattoo.

Personally they don't bother me...............unless it's a female over 40 getting one to try to compete with the 20 year old females. If you're smokin' hot at 40 without one, there's no need to get one.

Hmmmm. When I got mine at 49 it had nothing to do with anyone else; I did it because I wanted it. Why do you think someone over 40 is trying to compete with 20 year olds? A 20 year old is so far out of my league and world I wouldn't even know what's going on with them.
You got it because you wanted it then. I'm opining from experience I've seen at several gyms I've worked at. 40 year old overweight female around a bunch of 20 somethings (with the majority having back tats) and not having a tat. Then loses some weight, gets a little hotter and the back tat appears. Coincidental? Maybe. Or it could be like I mentioned. Whatever the case, I'm opining from what I observe. Doesn't mean I'm correct in assumption.

Yes!! Mines was my first tattoo when I was 18 and in my defense they weren't called that back then. A couple years later a I heard the term and was like "what?". And here I go getting a tattoo in a place where It is fine for me professionally.. now I'm a tramp. haha

I have one. It was my first tattoo over 10 years ago when I turned 18. The tattoo is a pair of Egyptian style eyes that stand for "fury". If I had an appropriate picture I would show but at the moment none of them would be considered appropriate by MFP mods.

I have a tattoo on my lower back (see my pics) I wouldn't qualify it as a tramp stamp though.

By the way, those of you who say you wouldn't get a tattoo "there" basically because other people think its tacky/trashy/ or stupid, probably shouldn't get a tattoo anywhere. Clearly you are a sheep and care far too much about what others think.
  • I have one and I absolutely hate it, thank goodness I don't have to see it lol. It was my very first tattoo. I was young and stupid and thought "oooh that looks pretty badass". If I could do it again, I would still have tattoos for sure, but put more thought and meaning into the design and placement.

    This! lol.

Dislike, but I'm not a fan of tattoos in general. I think it's just my generation, or something. I just prefer a body the way it was born, with no drawing on it. I'm strange, I know...
