    Okay, but on the other thread, someone mentioned bacon...and, well, I love bacon. If you support bacon, I'll vote for you.

    Oh I'm a lover of bacon, rest assured!!

    Quick, someone post a gif of bacon for this lady!! :flowerforyou:

    Agreed. Often it is about how the OP phrases their question and/or how open minded they are to learning something new [or even to learning that something they previously thought was true turns out to be not quite right]. Here is a nice quote from an MFPer who just today asked a question on these very forums:

    "Thanks everyone! This is why MFP community is good for me. I learn so much!"

    She is doing it right! Interestingly, the posters who helped her most and gave her reliable information are also the ones who are often accused of being "mean". Coincidence? I think not.
  • Well said!!

    DAMN YOU AND YOUR BIKINI'D ABS!!!!!

    *shamelessly shows off robot cred*
  • I wholeheartedly agree. I came to MFP with little to no knowledge and very low self esteem. I made friends with people who gave me great advice and lots of laughs. I was successfully able to gain weight, friends and confidence from being here.

    Love = BONER!

    These two things have nothing to do with each other.

    I'm seeing the same :flowerforyou:

    and just want to add...gifs are funny - humor/laughter reduces stress...stress is not healthy, so laugh more. It makes this quest much more enjoyable. :drinker:

    I feel you get out of this place what you put in!

    I leave controversial threads because that's not why I'm here. I avoid topics that look like bait. I don't add and I remove friends who are shady.

    What I get here is support, positivity, and people who rally together. That's what I give.

    I wrote on the other topic too, but I'll write here, too (because I'm opinionated like that). I'm new to MFP, but I think it's great. Very supportive people and the dillholes are easy enough to ignore if they really bother you. Having said that, I haven't been bothered much by them, but then again, I do have short-term memory problems... :laugh: No, seriously, keep up the good work people, carry on!

    Well said Marnie! Strong people such as yourself is what I see as an indication of the Rise of MFP as well. There was a time where many of us felt quite low on ourselves and through the support found here we've re-created ourselves.
