    I wholeheartedly agree. I came to MFP with little to no knowledge and very low self esteem. I made friends with people who gave me great advice and lots of laughs. I was successfully able to gain weight, friends and confidence from being here.

    and just want to add...gifs are funny - humor/laughter reduces stress...stress is not healthy, so laugh more. It makes this quest much more enjoyable. :drinker:

    I feel you get out of this place what you put in!

    I leave controversial threads because that's not why I'm here. I avoid topics that look like bait. I don't add and I remove friends who are shady.

    What I get here is support, positivity, and people who rally together. That's what I give.

    I wrote on the other topic too, but I'll write here, too (because I'm opinionated like that). I'm new to MFP, but I think it's great. Very supportive people and the dillholes are easy enough to ignore if they really bother you. Having said that, I haven't been bothered much by them, but then again, I do have short-term memory problems... :laugh: No, seriously, keep up the good work people, carry on!

    Well said Marnie! Strong people such as yourself is what I see as an indication of the Rise of MFP as well. There was a time where many of us felt quite low on ourselves and through the support found here we've re-created ourselves.
