Tired... TL;DR most posts (ok, i read pg 1 & 2 then gave up)

    Pickled pig eyeballs.... anyone?
  • Pork brains and scrambled eggs . Sounds terrible, but delish. Drawback? There is enough cholesterol in there to do some serious damage... something like 3500 mg. I'll just remember back when I didn't worry about things like that and pass on eating it now that I know better :)

spent a few of my teen years in China...my family was served these FANTASTIC dumplings...we practically licked the plate clean. one of the hosts happened to comment loudly after we had finished that "dog really is delicious, isn't it?" (it was, but if i had a choice, i would not eat it again.)

we also had a mishap where my dad tried to order a local dish of stewed beef and potatoes that we always had. he happened to say it wrong and instead of them correcting him, the servers laughed and brought us what he really ordered...donkey meat. sooooo nasty.

edit: dog is more of a Korean delicacy, than Chinese. we were in the north eastern part of China...very close to Korea.

That I know of, I would say squirrel. But my family is from east Texas, so who knows what was in the stew.....
You know, those East Texas pine cone gnawing squirrels taste *completely* different than hardwood forest northwest Arkansas squirrels. Just sayin'

Something like an egg roll but with sweet lime filling the dining hall served as desert, garlic ice cream, fish and squid ceviche, and the sandwich from this thread http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/692783-omg-a-sandwich-to-effin-die-for-omg-omg

I can recommend all but the sandwich.

deer heart, beef heart, chicken hearts and gizzards. As a kid we had to eat these as my dad was cheap and we ate a majority of the animal when he went hunting or got a half of beef, I didn't know its as weird until I was an adult, now I wouldn't eat them.
