This is the pb&j I had on Saturday:
Martin's Sandwich Potato Bread - Bread, 2 Slice - 160 cals, 2 g fat, 8 g protein
Smucker's - Natural Creamy Peanut Butter *, 32 g - 200 cals, 16 g fat, 7 g protein
Welch's - Concord Grape Jelly , 1 Tbsp (20g) - 50 cals, 0 fat, 0 protein
410 cals/18 g fat/15 g protein
YUM! (it was really crunchy pb, but this one was already entered in grams in the database. yes, I weigh it!)0 -

Is jelly the same thing as jam? I'm from the UK so...
Basically. Jam has the seeds still in it and jelly doesn't.0 -
Grape jelly = fail.
you're right and devilishly handsome.

So i'm not the only one who eats this?0 -
Oh my gosh.. that looks so good. Im totally going to try that tonight!
Does it really taste just like a Peanut butter and Jelly sandwich??? Incredible!
Yes... and foodies can vary the recipe by toasting the bread first.
This sandwich is upside down. The peanut butter has to be on top!0 -
Do not you toast the bread first? It transfers the heat to the peanut butter and releases more flavor.0

Can I make this with PB2 and Shiratake noodles?0
-
I always spread my jelly on top of my peanut butter so one piece of bread stays clean until I put it together.0

Lmao!
Thanks, this is super helpful. I've never consider grape jelly, I've only tried strawberry. I will definitely try your recipe.0 -
Crunchy PB with blackberry preserves. ZOMG.
oh and for mini PB&J's..... spread PB on Strawberry Fig Newtons. *mouthgasm*0 -
1) get some whole wheat bread. preferably fresh.
2) get some peanut butter. preferably extra crunchy.
3) get some jelly. preferably grape or strawberry. preserves or jam will work too.
4) take a single slice of bread and place it on plate.
5) dip a tablespoon into the peanut butter twice, and each time spread the tablespoon of peanut butter on the slice of bread until completely covered.
6) take a second piece of bread and hold it in your hand.
7) dip a tablespoon into the jelly twice, and each time spread the tablespoon of jelly on the new slice of bread until completely covered.
8) put the piece of bread with jelly on it together with the piece of bread with peanut butter on it such that the jelly and peanut butter are in full contact with each other.
9) put away the peanut butter, jelly, and bread and clean up after yourself
10) enjoy.
What happens if the bread slices come into contact on the plate?
remember all that conspiracy stuff about the Large Hadron Collider just before it wen't online a couple of years ago? that.
That was no conspiracy.
Oh, and the mommy in me thanks you for step 9.0 -

Perhaps! Also, I've never had it on a sandwich, but I was talked into trying pickles with peanut butter, and it was actually pretty good!0
