evenly spread same amount of PB over both slices of bread and sub jelly with either honey or dill pickle chips....
i hate to be the one to tell you, but you're pregnant.
Lmao!
Thanks, this is super helpful. I've never consider grape jelly, I've only tried strawberry. I will definitely try your recipe.0 -
Crunchy PB with blackberry preserves. ZOMG.
oh and for mini PB&J's..... spread PB on Strawberry Fig Newtons. *mouthgasm*0 -
1) get some whole wheat bread. preferably fresh.
2) get some peanut butter. preferably extra crunchy.
3) get some jelly. preferably grape or strawberry. preserves or jam will work too.
4) take a single slice of bread and place it on plate.
5) dip a tablespoon into the peanut butter twice, and each time spread the tablespoon of peanut butter on the slice of bread until completely covered.
6) take a second piece of bread and hold it in your hand.
7) dip a tablespoon into the jelly twice, and each time spread the tablespoon of jelly on the new slice of bread until completely covered.
8) put the piece of bread with jelly on it together with the piece of bread with peanut butter on it such that the jelly and peanut butter are in full contact with each other.
9) put away the peanut butter, jelly, and bread and clean up after yourself
10) enjoy.
What happens if the bread slices come into contact on the plate?
remember all that conspiracy stuff about the Large Hadron Collider just before it wen't online a couple of years ago? that.
That was no conspiracy.
Oh, and the mommy in me thanks you for step 9.0 -
Oh my gosh.. that looks so good. Im totally going to try that tonight!
Does it really taste just like a Peanut butter and Jelly sandwich??? Incredible!
Yes... and foodies can vary the recipe by toasting the bread first.
This sandwich is upside down. The peanut butter has to be on top!
OCD?0 -
use pumpkin butter the jelly. You're welcome.0

Can I make this with PB2 and Shiratake noodles?
The smell of the noodles will completely ruin it. Please. No.0 -

I think we need to not forget about fluffernutter sandwiches.

Perhaps! Also, I've never had it on a sandwich, but I was talked into trying pickles with peanut butter, and it was actually pretty good!0 -

That bread looks really dry. Can I just lick the insides?0 -

That actually looks pretty tasty for a savoury snack0 -
I do my own version of a PB&J by using low carb, high fiber tortillas, sugar free jelly and PB2. Comes out to about 135 calories (28 carbs, 5g fat, 13g protein, 17g fiber). It's the perfect dessert after my dinner0

Don't overlook PB&Banana! Get your serving of fruit without the added sugar of jelly or jam!

I love PB&J! Not to be a Killjoy but if you're scooping PB out of the jar with a tablespoon, you're probably eating more than the serving size. Perhaps a lot more. Use a scale and weigh it. I just discovered Earth Balance natural peanut butter with flax seed. Yum!0

Is jelly the same thing as jam? I'm from the UK so...
Jam has pieces of of fruit (seeds) in it
Jelly is strained .... seedless raspberry jelly0 -

I LOVE to have peanut butter and jam toast. It's kinda tricky but I actually spread the jam on top of the peanut butter. My husband totally sucks at doing it lol. Of course ever since I've been watching my sugar intake (trying to get diabetes back in check) I've more often than not just opted for peanut butter and skip the jam and it's 24 grams of sugar I eat peanut butter on honey and oat wheat bread like 4-5 mornings a week cause it's a good combo of carbs and protein to fill me up for a while.0
