In this pic I had only lost around 35 pounds. I've lost 51 and would still like to lose around 45 more.

It took me about 6 months to lose the bulk of the weight but it's definitely slowed down since then. I'm still losing, just not as much as quickly. That's okay though because a loss is a loss. I track my food every day, work out when I can and I cut out fast food and soda/sugary drinks. I basically still eat whatever I want as long as I can fit it into my day. This has worked for me and I don't feel deprived.

I hated my prom pictures so much... Especially because I had to take pictures next to my boyfriend's skinny sister. But they're the best befores I have. I look back at these and all I can think is "never again".

This picture was from last year when I was at 133- I carry almost all of my weight in my stomach. It's hard to look at other 5'3" females around 133 with almost a completely flat stomach and see how much of mine still sticks out.

5'2. 23 years old. Started this journey in Feb 2012 at 154 lbs. I got to 118 on pure cardio. Now I weigh 121 with 17% bf and love cardio AND heavy lifting.

    Hi everyone

All your stories are so inspiring. Congratulations on a fantastic job. I am 224lbs and i'm 5'1. I would like to lose 100lbs,but really don't know where to start. I worked out alot, but didn't lose much weight and was told I wasn't eating enough. Now I seem to be eating more, but not doing enough workout.

I want to start again, properly. Doing intermittent fasting because it frees me from food. I want to be able to post a success story on here, so please!! help!!!! How do I start, where do I start?!!

My friends and family are the same way! They all tell me I look fine and I don't need to lose weight! It drives me crazy! I'm 5'2 and at 159.6 so I have at least a good 30 lbs that need to go! It would be nice to have support from friends and family but they all think I look fine. I'm the only one that disagrees! Definitely makes the process a little harder...at least for me.
I'm starting from a similar standpoint...most of my friends don't believe I'm 167 at 5'2 but I've managed to 'hide' the belly and back fat well...until bikini season comes around of course :( SO NO MORE HIDING FOR ME!
I think the issue for us short ladies is that we may be overweight but no necessarily BIG ... if that makes sense. I have received that comments a few times (before I really blew up that is). I was told I was "chubby but not big". Being short and petite I didn't take up that much more room than someone of everage weight and height. Now I AM big though so I'm trying to get back down :p

I believe this is true to a degree. On the one hand we're short so people 'see' us as smaller. (Even now people guess about 130 as my weight, and when I was 135 I got 120-125 alot) but on the other hand when we gain it's obvious to everyone around us. Put on five pounds and Everyone knows just by glancing at you.

Then again when we lose that's also very obvious. So. ...Being short is awesome on a 2-1 ratio?

All of this. Story of my life. Only friends in the same body/comp/fitness frame of mind understand. Everybody else means well, but it doesn't help get the fires going.

5'2.......28 lbs lost! 10 more to go :-) I don't typically reward myself because I am not always great about my eating habits. However I am a big Tazo Green Tea drinker so even when I don't do so well, the metabolism kick from the green tea helps me maintain :-)

    I'm 5'2.
Though I weight around 106 now so I need to update my pictures.
Did it all in less than a year just eating what I want under goal and exercising to eat more, haha

As far as rewarding myself with anything...just with updating professional pictures and new clothes.
