getting a FR rejected...

I think I've had 1 FR rejected so far. I cried like a stripper does on the inside after calling a 60 years old 800 lbs sugar daddy how much she think he's sexy

How do you know that a FR gets rejected? Do you get a notification? Or do they tell you they are rejecting you?
This is also a very good point. I sent a FR to EDDavenport. He didn't accept me, kind of upset me. I would see him on the forums, and in my mind i thought he didn't accept me. 6 months later i got a notification saying "EDdavenport has accepted your friend request."
I apologize to him for my thoughts, and told him how i felt. He has been a friend for a while now.
What's a very good point? There is no point!
YOU. HAVE. MADE. NO. POINT!0 -

This thread stresses me out. I have lots of friends on my list. There are great people out there that are not on my list, but the ones I have are awesome too. Once I become friends with someone, I VERY rarely delete them.
So I put a note on my profile saying I'm not accepting. I still get requests because I'm active on the forums and on my friends walls, and because people using the android app can't see that I'm not accepting.
I hate declining friend requests, because I hate feeling like I'm rejecting someone who wants to get to know me better. But I also hate sending a message saying "no I am not gonna be your friend because I have too many" too - that seems like a worse rejection! I often keep them in my queue and add them in when I someone drops me.
Why does it have to be so freaking dramatic? If I decline you, it is not because I don't like you, or I have judged you and you failed to meet the criteria. It is because I simply don't have the time to be a good friend to everyone, and I already feel like I fail miserably with the ones I do have now.
MFP is great for tracking calories and achieving and maintaining goals. It is a fantastic social site as well... but it can consume your life if you let it... and I have little kids and a job... I CANNOT ALLOW IT TO TAKE OVER MY WHOLE LIFE (which, it totally could because I have obsessive tendencies.)
So... if I have not accepted your request... it's not personal. It really isn't.
:flowerforyou:
oh geeze... I even blogged about it now...

A wise man once gave me the best advice- just never take any risks. That way you shall never fail!
Or wait....

“Over the years, I have come to realize that the greatest trap in our life is not success, popularity, or power, but self-rejection. Success, popularity, and power can indeed present a great temptation, but their seductive quality often comes from the way they are part of the much larger temptation to self-rejection. When we have come to believe in the voices that call us worthless and unlovable, then success, popularity, and power are easily perceived as attractive solutions. The real trap, however, is self-rejection. As soon as someone accuses me or criticizes me, as soon as I am rejected, left alone, or abandoned, I find myself thinking, "Well, that proves once again that I am a nobody." ... [My dark side says,] I am no good... I deserve to be pushed aside, forgotten, rejected, and abandoned. Self-rejection is the greatest enemy of the spiritual life because it contradicts the sacred voice that calls us the "Beloved." Being the Beloved constitutes the core truth of our existence.”

It only hurts for a year or so bro.
It'll pass.

 I think ive had 25 FRs rejected. I just went back to my FL and continued splashing coffee at everyone...err wait...maybe the person knew i was doing that... thats why i got rejected:sick:0

i sent one to my sock puppet account, but it was rejected by me. :frown:
Lmao this shiz is funny as *kitten*!! I used to only add girls, I might consider dudes in the future. I only delete people if they restrict more often than not (sometimes I cannot eat all of my exercise kcal, it happens), or if they have what appears to be an ED. :ohwell:
*Edited cuz I'm still figuring out this quote ish0 -
I'm sure I've been rejected plenty of times, because I send a request to just about any new guy who asks for it. Should I worry because I don't worry about it?0

I just accepted all the requests I had sitting there because of this thread. About 3 of them haven't logged on for over 2 month, you don't think they did something rash because of me not accepting them?!0
