The trick is to NOT pile food on that 6-inch plate and also pay attention to WHAT you're putting on that plate and therefore into your body. Are you eating a lot of carbs? Processed, high-sodium, low-nutrient crap? Sodium helps retain water, which shows up on the scales. Go for higher fiber and protein (which will generally come with more healthy stuff that your body needs anyway) and cut out the high carb, low-nutrient stuff.0
