I thought this place was for motivational help and advice.
you should be proud that the younger crowd wants to be your friends ask your advice look to you as a mentor...or am I wrong?
I guess since Im still young myself I do not know any better. :ohwell:0 -
I have friends who are in their 20s and have lost over 100 lbs.
But yeah, that's really not impressive.
I bet it was easy.0 -
<<< In my 30's. Used to weigh over 300 lbs. Didn't realize I was here to impress anyone anyway.0

I think I know what you're getting at, but maybe your expression of it isn't so great? More than a few people who are struggling to get in shape might feel put-upon.
There's nothing wrong at all in limiting the friends list or even putting a disclaimer in your profile that you're not accepting under 30s.
For the record, my 30s were not a healthy decade. My 40s so far have been far superior. Arguably, it was harder in my 30s than it is now.0 -
Wow. I'm in better shape than I was in my 20's or 30's, but I'm not going to devalue people who were smarter than I was at that age and are working hard to attain/maintain fitness.0
-
No offense...but are you having a mid-life crisis?0

"Married dad trying not to lose the grip on youth."
:ohwell: :indifferent: :ohwell: :indifferent:
i know....all those poor little youthful soldiers dying for a good cause in the carpet as a result of his grip.0 -
So, um, that's swell?0

I understand your thought process and you can certainly have whoever you want on your friends. However, I have friends of all ages on my friends list (18 to 60) and I really find all of them to be a help to me. I am 41. Although, I love having people in their 40's on my friends list, you never know when someone who is in their 20's (and looking all hot) is going to be a help to me or have some great tips on eating right, working out, or other suggestion. I don't think that you should limit yourself. If someone is not supporting you or talking to you, then delete them, but if they are active and supporting you then it is not right for you to delete them just because they are not the right age.0

except for the ones over 40 years old. Being in great shape and having a hot body when you are in your 20's and 30's is nice, but let's be honest...not so impressive. Being in better shape and looking better than 90% of the people half your age...NOW THAT'S SOMETHING! New friends, 40 and over, welcome.
I'm over 40 and don't get you. I'm very impressed with some of the hard *kitten* work and dedication that many in there 20's and 30's have done. This just motivates me even more to try and equal this or get close. They push me! They are partially my driving force!0 -
So why did you add me just a few days ago, with no message or anything? People are so weird!0
