Then prove to me then it's not true. Then we will have a debate!

The burden of proof lies in the ones making the claim.

A good read that applies to this topic in general:
    http://www.skepticalraptor.com/skepticalraptorblog.php/pseudoscience-fool/

In real science, the burden of proof rests on those making a claim, not on the critic. Pseudoscience employs the reversed burden of proof, demanding that skeptics demonstrate beyond a reasonable doubt that a claim, for example, that some supplement prevents cancer, is false. It is essentially impossible to prove a universal negative, so this tactic incorrectly places the burden of proof on the skeptic rather than the claimant

It Works Body Wraps – how do they work? Here is the science behind our wraps! You’re wondering if they work, the answer is YES and you’re also wondering how…. The botanical blend in our wraps penetrate the skin and into the deeper skin layers, getting straight to the fat cells…where it forces toxins out of them! Those toxins are then picked up by the blood stream and filtered through the kidneys and essentially are eliminated through your urine. A little fact about fat cells: When you are born, you are born with all the fat cells your body will ever have. However, fat can expand 1000x its original size. Fat holds toxins and CAN be shrunk, you don’t essentially “lose” fat without exercise, proper diet or surgery – but you can certainly shrink it and our skinny wraps will do just that!

Ok, let's assume that we have toxins in our body that for some reason our kidneys, liver,or bowels are not able to eliminate.

If the botanical blend penetrate into the fat cells to release toxins into the blood which are then eliminated through the kidneys, I would think that urine tests would reveal exactly what these toxins are.

And of course because the wraps are so scientifically based, you can show me double blind, peer reviewed etc studies that would prove it, right?

Not true. People also gain new fat cells during puberty and pregnancy.

Asking for evidence isn't negativity. You made claims about a product, and were not able to back those claims up.

I tried one once! I was at a Bridal Show and won one, so I got one for myself and the bride I was with. We both lost over an inch from wearing it, and felt great that night. Not sure how long it stayed off, but I would definitely do one if I had a special event upcoming and wanted to fit into something small.. She's going to use them weekly starting at least a month before her big day and I know it will help... regardless of how long it stays off after the wedding

The Ultimate Applicator works by detoxifying, tightening, toning and firming. Daily, toxins are naturally removed from the body by your stool, urine and the air you breathe out. The ingredients continue to work for 72 hours after you have applied the Ultimate Applicator, so you may continue to see progressive results over this time period.

The results you see from the Ultimate Body Applicator are not temporary, as you may have experienced or heard about with many body wraps that simply cause water loss. The Ultimate Body Applicator helps detoxify, tighten, tone, and firm in a manner that produces lasting results—without water loss.
As is true with any weight loss or body slimming, you can reverse the results you see from the Ultimate Body Applicator with poor eating habits and lack of exercise. This is why we say, depending on your eating habits and level of daily activity, you can expect your results to last approximately anywhere from 2 – 6 months.
Using Defining Gel daily can help you make sure that you improve and maintain your results from the Ultimate Body Applicators. Continued use of the Ultimate Body Applicators will also help you achieve continued results and maintain results you may be reversing with eating and lifestyle habits.
This product is not recommended for pregnant or nursing women or children. If you have a medical condition, health concern, or are taking prescription medication, consult with your health care professional before using this product.

Please name some of the toxins that these wraps help you remove.

Wraps definitely separate clients from their money. And money is poison.

You're correct - MFP *is* the wrong place for you to be: 1) Selling/advertising anything, and 2) Preying on people who are often desperate to lose weight and, therefore, willing to try and and all kinds of worthless diet scams - including the wraps you sell.

All the talk about wraps removing "toxins" is pseudoscientific mumbo-jumbo. There is no proof that they remove any kind of toxin, nor even a logical or remotely scientific explanation of *how* they would remove toxins from one's system. Equally bogus is any talk of them being helpful for weight loss. They may provide a temporary, superficial, localized loss of water weight, but no lasting effects beyond that.

There is no specific name of the "toxins" it removes, because:::
Humans consume toxins on a daily basis through practical everyday living. Through the air we breathe, the foods we eat and the water we drink, it is inevitable to avoid toxins. Because toxins build up from blood in the liver, kidneys, intestines, lungs and skin, it is recommended that you detoxify your body at least once a year. How you choose to detoxify your body is up to you.

Just wondering if this works so well why are physicians not giving patients this instead of an aggressive caloric deficit or gastric bypass. I don't see why if they know what herbs work why they would risk something like surgery on an obese person. Why would someone get lypo. I do believe this is a sham, just because herbs cannot shrink your fat cells by detoxing them.

I'm just wondering why you don't drop over dead from all the toxins in your bloodstream.

I understand there is skeptics, just like with any other health product. Nobody is asking the "skeptics" to use the products, just making the factual information known. Rather then certain people posting false information.

    Thanks

the only one i see posting BS is you ...

Cannot say I appreciate this HUGE debate filled with negativity.

Normally I agree that sometimes the debating gets a little silly or pushy. But when you promote a product, it's normal for people to expect you to be able to explain how it works and what they are actually paying for and for proof of it.

I have tried the wraps and I liked them. Only thing though is not everyone will get the same results as the next person. I think if you are already eating healthy, drinking lots of water, and working out then the wraps will be a plus for you.

I eat healthy and work out at least 4 times a week and at the end of each week ( saturday's preferably) since I know that is my not workout day I wrap my self and use the defining gel.

BUT, if you are a lazy person who does not enjoy any type of workout and eat unhealthy food ALL THE TIME, then the body wraps are not for you!

You can save a lot of money by becoming a loyal customer on their websites. Instead of paying 100.00 for a box of wraps you can pay 59.00 which is huge savings !!!

    check it out www.kierra.myitworks.com

    Nice try, wrap-seller.

Go buy yourself a few boxes of Saran Wrap and have a friend wrap you tight.
Maybe you even can find a coupon and sweat off some water weight for only $1.49.....

I just can't buy into that these produce any results other than padding somebody else's wallet and making the wearer lose some water weight in the region the belt was worn in.
    Color me skeptical. :D

I personally don't believe in a quick fix! Just think about it. A body wrap is a form of a fad diet effect. Just eat right and exercise. Btw abs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym or behind some plastic wrap.

NOt really a "nice" try though, more of a "mean" try insulting first with the Lazy comment and then telling people there's a hyooooge savings....yeah? as huge as your ego? Didn't you noticed you called people names first. Worst sales tactic ever...I have a product and to distract from whether its a good one or not, I'll just tell you, you're a *kitten* if you think it doesn't work, so no one will say it doesn't work because they don't wanna be the *kitten* right? Tricksie. Salesgirl is tricksie. And mean.

NO-ho-ho-ho-hooooo. LOL. RIBS are made in the kitchen. Abs are made in the airbrush tan salon.
