Just stopping by to point out that they are indeed Olympic swimmers. The ONLY guys who get to rock these are these guys and a handful of others in the pool simultaneously. If you aren't one of them, then NO.
I swim in a pool in Rome 4 days a week. I see alot of good bods like this---even on the older guys. In Italy, Speedos are it for swimming. I really don't understand the problem American women have with them, except perhaps the overweight population in the States make it an eyesore. I'll point out that Italians eat alot of carbs and have great bods overall--but that's another thread.0 -

Women in bikinis who have a less than perfect body are gross too. In general bikinis and speedos are completely classless swimwear.

In my opinion even the most gorgeous man on earth looks bad with speedos. They can ruin the nest bodies. Just like those micro-bikinis look bad on women. It's... strange...
Boardshort are good for beach sports... but I see them as strange when just sitting at the beach.

Just a question---what kind of tan are you getting with board shorts? When you take them off the tan line is gross. Like a farmer tan when you wear a t-shirt in the sun. Speedos give the best tan.0

Not only that, they usually don't swim very well, so you don't want to be in a lane with them. The serious swimmers wear appropriate swimwear--speedos and tank suits.0 -

You know, I've seen alot of swimwear fashions come and go. Just because Speedos aren't the "fashion" on America's beaches right now, doesn't mean that in about 5 years we maynot see an abrupt turnaround--everybody in Speedos. Yay!

I've played "name that nationality" with other expat friends based on swimwear alone. Pretty silly and harmless but yea, funny enough attitudes towards swimwear vary quite a bit depending on where someone is from.0 -

I think it just depends on the person. I've worn board shorts and mid length tight trunks like boxer briefs. Don't really care what people think. I think they are comfortable and like the style. I actually got checked out a lot more with the tighter trunks. But I think anybody can wear anything as long as they are confident. I gave up caring what people think a long time ago. Hell I wear old school golf outfits to the course with the 1920's style knickers and argyle socks. Why? Cause I think it's awesome. People laugh their butts off and it's a great convo starter. Wear what ever makes you happy.0
