are women envious of skinny men?

With psychic powers like that, you could rule the world.
I wish I could know what women are thinking when they look at me.
Hell, I'd settle for knowing what my wife is thinking...or what she means when she's talking to me...even just occasionally. 22+ years and I don't have a clue.0 -
Not in my eyes! I am actually attracted to bigger built men whether they are toned or not. I don't think they are looking at you in an envious way. Probably looking at you and being pissed off you are holding up their equipment! :-D Joke. I really don't know. Maybe those women are looking at you b/c they think you are hot but want to give off a ***** flare about it to feel like they are playing hard to get? Who knows? Those types of things are exactly why I go to the YMCA and not typical gym! lol0
-
No hun, they are probably moms like me and just want to feed you.
^ This0 -
I've been jealous of a guys' skinny legs before! And definitely their super flat tummy's with like zero body fat.. and they don't even lift
This guy I was seeing, when he sat down.. had NO TUMMY FAT! So depressing haahah0 -
I definitely do not look at other men and get jealous of their physique. I'll do that with women though. In the gym and in magazines/online. I'll use it as motivation.
Personally i think you need to eat. You seem a little too thin for how tall you are.0 -
The only reason I'd be looking at a guy with those stats is....no wait... I can't really think of a good reason, other than the checking out what your lifting but that's already been said....nope there would be no envious looks from this bird I'm afraid. But my idea of body perfection is probably different to others so I'm sure some women may look at you in the way you think they do? Maybe....0

Pahahah.
I assure you, women do not want what a skinny guy has.
Sometimes MFP is too much.0 -
I honestly think many would be thinking you need to put on some weight. That's way too skinny for a guy and at your height.
During the Thriller era, Michael Jackson was about 125lbs and he was healthy as a horse! So I think it's totally fine. Some guys have smaller frames and are even predisposed to being thinner, just as some girls will be tiny no matter how much they eat.0 -
I think it's probably 'cause I'm tired, but it seems like a lot of you guys are being ****s.
Maybe it's 'cause I'm tired though, I usually don't give a ****/notice when people are "mean" on the forums.
Me, when I look at a thin guy or gal start lifting and they are close to me, I usually glance to try to see how much they are lifting so I don't have to go get someone to save them if they get crushed because they wanted to try to be a bad *kitten*. That's just me though, no idea what you're getting eyes for.0 -
So the only two choices in your mind for women looking at you are "They want me" or "They envy me"?0

Yeah, where's the "They're zoning out and just happen to be looking in my general direction" option?0 -
Not envious here. I stare for 2 reasons:
1) Because I am watching to see performance on each exercise and to determine if it's properly executed or done incorrectly
2) Because he's hot as hell.
No pun, but I like a stocky man. One that is cut but has bulging muscles and is thicker in the waist than I am. My 1st husband was a wrestler in high school, and was around 5'7/5'8 and 185 pounds. LOVED his arms!! He was pretty strong. I like the pro-wrestler type body on a man, but that's just my preference. Makes me feel safe, I guess.0 -
I'm grossed out by skinny men. If I can push a guy over, it's not attractive. Nothing worse than chicken legs and toothpick arms.. Egh0

This ^^^
Oh god..I wonder how many times I've zoned out in the gym and a guy assumed I
a. wanted to jump him
b. was seething in jealously for his chicken legs and lack of breasts.0 -

Agreed. That was seriously uncool and uncalled for. Body shaming is body shaming and is WRONG.0 -
Come on now, no need to start skinny bashing. A skinny guy is no less of a man than a thicker man, just different body types.0

But looking like a land whale is totally fine! Congrats
I prefer land sharks!

Really skinny men that think they are hot creep me out....0
-
i am a male, 5'9" 135 lbs and toned/cut
i find that women at the gym stare at me in an envious way, not in an attraction way
they look at me as if they want what i have
does this sound ridiculous or is there truth to women being envious of skinny mens' bodies?
don't think so :huh:0 -

Agreed. I find skinny men attractive as well as beefier guys but at the gym, I am competitive and the gym is when I turn on beast mode.0 -

Yeah, how dare they not think they are ugly and stay indoors and covered up all day.0 -
Being attracted to a certain body type is fine. Calling another body type "gross" is messed up. Hopefully you can see the difference.0
-
OH! I got this!
Since I am equally attracted to guys who are "too thin" OR "too heavy" and also "too douchey" or "too arrogant" as well as "too uneducated" or even "too educated" I happen to know what the draw is to the thin/slender/svelte types:
When a man is slender two things tend to stick out more. 1) His junk, and 2) his wallet, thus making it easier for me to go after both. The end.
* le sigh*0 -
No, I think I agree with what you think is going on.0

So men being grossed out by overweight women is fine, but when a woman feels the same about a man who is skin and bones it's not?
[/quote]
Neither is fine.0 -
I wouldn't say that I'm 'envious' per say... I'm just afraid that if I were to trip and fall into them that I would crush every bone in their frail little body... my sincerest appologies if that ever actually happens to anyone...0

Drama thread!! Great reading when I can't go to sleep0

Wow, you're super gorgeous. (I'm not trying to be creepy, lmao) You actually look like the twin of this girl I went to high school with. She's a model *and* she's in medical school now. (jealous rage) lol0
