I am losing pounds, if thats what you were asking, i lost around 8 lbs in 13 days.

That is NOT healthy at ALL. To put this into perspective, the HEALTHY recommendation is a pound lost per WEEK for anyone wanting to lose more than 15 lbs. Losing 8 pounds in less than a week and a half is downright dangerous, and you need to realize this. You will never be able to gain muscle at this rate, or with your unhealthy behaviour, because your body is in (or will go into) starvation and try to hold onto whatever it can and then when the fat breaks down, the muscle will be the next to go. And don't kid yourself - it WILL go. You either need to really work harder to eat more food, or give up on your goal to properly gain muscle because right now your goals are conflicting.

Also, I couldn't help but notice on your profile that you want to fit into size 0 jeans. It makes me feel so sad for you, because this is not a healthy goal; do you really think most women in size 0 jeans actually have ANY muscle on their bones? Yet again, those are two conflicting things. I would really like you to read this blog post:

    http://sophieologie.wordpress.com/2013/04/30/strong-is-the-new-skinny/

Not only is this girl hilarious, so she's fun to read, but reading this article changed my life. And this is a first-hand account of a girl who withered away to a size 0 and then was mentally and physically weak and unhealthy. Then she discusses how working out, eating more, and putting on muscle (putting her around 126lbs I think) made her happier and more confident than she's ever been in her life. The whole point of her article is that this unhealthy desire to be skinny is NOT healthy, nor realistic and safe; rather, you should be striving to become STRONGER, and the only real way you can put on muscle is by working out AND consuming the proper calorie intake.

But again, you need to choose: do you want to be healthy and have muscle, or be a size 0? Because you can't have both and still be healthy.

Girl, if your hair is falling out in clumps - that is serious. Alongside the feeling cold all the time, the dizzyness, the hair growing in unusual places (to keep you warm) and muscle cramps for no reason.

I had an ED in my teens. Everything you've said in this thread suggests you either have one, or at least are on route to one unless you take control NOW. People don't just wake up one day and bam, ED is there. It's a gradual thing and you may not notice it properly. The fact you used the word "PURGE" instead of "VOMIT" is very, very indicative - sorry, but it is.

I am not getting on your back. I am offering you my sincerest help here - you are more than welcome to add me as a friend and I can help anyway I can. Please, please do not wreck your life the way I did; it took me over a decade to unravel it all.

    xxxxx

There's this really cool thing that hospitals do, it's called sticking a tube down your throat to make you eat. I've had to have it done. It really is a great experience.

edit : it's also put on your doctors report, so next time you go to a job interview and they ask to see you medical report prepare for a few looks, lol.

Wait wait what now?! Possible employers can ask to see your medical report? But.... patient/doctor confidentiality!

Wow, OP is a nice person after all!

I agree that there is a type of person, with an ED who boasts about being able to starve themselves....

I don't think that is the case here, and mainly the replys are supportive, which is great.

Best of luck to you, I hope you get healthy,
