5'5". tentative goal is 140. happy anywhere between 130 and 155. More important to me is having the body I am comfortable in, and my goal size looks like a 14/16.

I am 5'5 1/2" to 5'6". My goal weight is about 145 pounds. I have been as low as 138 and everyone tells me I look too thin at that weight.

130 but I might reconsider once I hit 140. For size... I have no idea what it would be. 8 maybe? I'm 5'5" (well 5'4.75").

I am 5'4 1/2...lol. My goal weight is 135. I was 175 overweight considering my BMI. I am currently at 138 and must admit I look slim enough. Good luck on your weight loss journey!

Wow, I must be large framed! I'm 5'6 1/2 and I weigh 163 now... looking to get to 155lbs. I'm at a size 8-medium now and comfortable. Goal is to never hit 170 again. Original start weight was 212lbs, so def never wanna see that again!!

But, I'm happy at my weight... I just want to feel healthier! :) I just keep losing slowly but surely...

The best thing I've ever done is keep track of my weight, but focus on body fat % which is a better indicator of my health. I'm aiming for 20% (I'm at 36.6% right now). I obsess about the scale but I've dropped a larger portion of the body fat I'm trying to lose than I have dropped in pounds. I want to be a toned 130, 140, 150 or 160 at 20% body fat...whatever weight that's at, that's my goal.

I am 5'5". My current weight is 186, with 38% body fat. So I have 115 pounds lean body mass that I'd like to maintain. One calculator I used identified that I need to maintain 14 pounds of essential body fat. So that takes me to 129 pounds. So I think my goal would then be anywhere from 129 - 139. It all depends on how I look and feel when I get in that range.

I'm 5'f'5''. Goal weight around 150 and then around 140. Was 128 at my lowest but I don't think I can be 16 again!

Like many of you, I think body fat % is a better measure, but I don't have an accurate way of regularly tracking it.

The "official chart" says for a 5'-5" woman from 117 to 140lbs. My goal is 140. If I can do better that YAY ME!

i fail to understand how lower than 140 is better. that means i have less muscle. that doesn't mean it's 'better'.
being lighter is not always better. most of the people who have a significant amount of muscle, are not even classified as healthy on the bmi chart. so i have trouble understanding why we should be basing our goals on it. no thanks. it's just a vague guideline.
not really helpful for anything. it doesn't even consider race, frame size, amount of muscle, age.....

I'm 5'5" and the top of the BMI range says I should aim for 150. The last time I was in that range I was 23 years old and a curvy size 8. I'd be THRILLED to get back to a size 8. I'm a very curvy size 12 right now (~170 lb). However, I can already hike for days and rock out at pilates class so building strength is more important to me than my pants size.
