My friend was talking to me today about how some people tend to go for certain types of people when dating. I tried to insist I didn't have a "type" but when she asked me to list qualities I liked in someone I was dating, I realized I was listing the qualities of my current boyfriend. And the girlfriend I had before him. Hm...

So what's your type?

I'll start: brunette, tall, nerdy, and funny. And preferably someone who likes me back!

    Dont really have a "type".... it goes with what my body and mind will get the crush on!
    Yet... I'll never go for the feminine type of guy....

    tall (over 6ft) and dark... i have never slept with a blonde guy....!

    Someone with ambition and a career!

    Looks wise, someone who looks after themselves but doesn't have to be super athletic.

    More about personality in someone who enjoys life!

    The type I prefer: thin, sparkly eyes, cute smile, good intellect, liberal, dedicated, free in themselves, comfortable and secure.

    The type I usually get with: psychotic, completely mental, should probably be sectioned for the good of society.

    sexy, confident, strong, empowered, great sense of humor, intelligent and empathic/feels me well


    If I would purely go for looks it would be blond, blue/green eyes, scruffy, strong. The thing is that for me the inner part seems to be far more important. A guy can open their mouth, but when they're superficial or just on a whole other level I'll lose interest.

    both women i ve had a relationship with are gentle kind ,loved by all who meet them, outgoing and fun to be around and beautiful. others were just "time passers" and i always knew from the off those wouldnt develop into a relationship and they would fall by the way.

    mine is Asian. I have the biggest Asian fever, i wouldn't date a white or a black guy no matter how charming, handsome or smart he is.
    Asian guys don't really go for white girls though :(

    I can cook so don't need that. Finding someone that meets the other two criteria is hard though.

    I can cook very well but during ball season it is tough...I work games mon-sat and some are double headers and I drive up to an hour each way on a few games. As far as the second part of your original post...I cannot believe we have not met each other at therapy ot while out at the club....

    You just described my last girlfriend exactly. Although I don't think her brunetteness is natural and I've never seen her deadlift form. Probably aren't many more who check everything on that list. I don't regret a lot but I regret messing that one up. Arsebiscuits.

    I def don't have a type. I've dated women/girls, that were 6" shorter than me to 4" taller. I've date from 6 years younger to 3 years older. Blonds, brunettes. Some were athletic, others not so much. Some outgoing other much more reserved. Personality is what really matters (obviously attraction first, or I wouldn't get to know their personality though)
