Why does jealousy exist?

I pick on girls becuase
1. I am one
2. I rarely get to see jealous guys except for in the movies.

    maybe its a level of maturity and you are more mature in that you don't act like a child and throw temper tantrums.

    Believe me, men get jealous. And jealous men are not men you want to be involved with. Well, within reason.

    As for why women get jealous? Immature, insecure women get that kind of jealous. The rest of us don't.

    Evolutionary behavioral adaptation to try to keep the hunter that provides all your protein near you and away from other hungry females. It better ensures the survival of the progeny you have with that particular male.

    PEOPLE get jealous for many different reasons. People all deal with their jealousy is different ways. There is no one single answer as to why people get jealous because not all people are the same.

    It ruins all my relationships.
    This is why Im single..they simply cant hang.

    Im not a jealous person as long as Im adored and am shown respect.

    Because people are insecure.

    But being jealous doesn't mean being an *kitten*. You can be jealous and be perfectly nice without saying (and sometimes not even thinking) one mean thing.

    People, men and women- get jealous when they feel like they are lacking where someone else seems to have more than them / what they want. insecurity in self can play a part in this for either gender. If you have or are a self confident person you'll generally be less jealous of others around you, the more content you are within yourself, the better.
