What is your goal for August?

    I just started and will have my first weigh in tomorrow. My goal for August is to stay committed to following the program of counting calories and exercising. I would love to lose 5 pounds but will be happy as long as it is in the downward direction. It didn't come on overnight, or even over a month, and it will take some time to get it off.

    well i have 2 small vacations over the next 2 weeks so mostly to stay on track. also trying to workout as much as possible. weight loss is extremely slow so i will probably aim for 5 pounds.
  • To stick to my recent changes and make them real habits. I started working at a gym on the weekends and by the end of August, I want to fit more comfortably in my work clothes (traditional spandex/cotton blend gear), and not feel like the fat girl on staff. These are my real goals - but by the numbers, I will be sticking to 5 days a week working out, doing zumba 2-3 times a week, and hop to drop 5-7 lbs. My first month I only lost 3 so this is a big goal and I am going for it!
  • Lose at least 5 pounds to reach my goal. I gained some the last few days so I have a little more to lose than I did this time last week. :(
    I start back to work after the summer break so I'll have to work harder to get in my 7 day a week workout.

    At risk of sounding like G. W. Bush; stay the course. 5 days a week of training and 10 more lbs.

    It's my 25th wedding anniversary August 29th and I'm going to spend a night in London with my husband. We've both lost similar amounts of weight since we started in January and I'd really love to be in a UK size 14 for this :-)
  • This month I lost four pounds and in August I plan on doubling that number. For some reason I am unable to find a way to keep track of small exercises such as tummy twisters and leg lifts, so I will be setting up a page for that offline in August also.

    I was meant to be 177lbs by the 7th when I go to the Olympics but that's looking unlikely now as I seem to have stalled a little. It would mean losing 6lbs in 9 days so I'm going to try and lose 3 instead.

    My goal is to work out every day except Saturday. My diet goal is the same. I feel like I need to have one day to myself. Also my weight loss goal for the month of August is 10 pounds but I would be so much happier if I could lose more.

    1. Lose 5+ pounds
    2. Be able to run half a mile straight without stopping
    3. Work out at least 5 days/week all month long

    So.. I want the scale to say 160 or less. That's 11 lbs. I'm moving out of state and leaving my gym and everything I know routine weight loss thus far. I'm scared to death. I want to be totally prepared for that move. Also I want to be in a size 12 jeans by the end of the month. Currently I can wear a 14, but I'm still doing 16's so I can tuck it all under lol. I'm training hard 3 days a week and adding at least 2 other workouts in as well.

    I have several for August:
    1. Let my tendons and ligaments heal.
    2. Finish the Color Run on the 25th.
    3. Continue to workout 5 days a week even though school starts.
    4. Lose 4 lbs!
  • Log every day, exercise at least 30 minutes every day and lose 10 lbs

    This month I have lost 12 pounds. That would be as the same for August but I am shooting for 10 pds. Yea I know that is alot but I can do it. Exercise 5 days a week, 3 are cardio and 2 are strength training.

    1. Walk alittle more
    2.Start some new exercises
    3. Looking at trying Shakeology Turbo Fire.
    4.Eat more fruits and veggies
    5. Drink more water:drinker:
    6. Help support others on MFP as much as I can :happy:
    7. Work on loosing my belly

    My goal is to stick to my goal and exercise at least 4 days a week and add strength training in there somewhere.

    Work out at least 5 days per week
    Stay within my daily calorie goals at least 6 days per week
    Limit alahol to 1 day per week

    Hopefully staying on target will result in at least 4 lbs gone... we shall see!

    I'm 168.8 right now. I'd be happy getting down to 162.8, but would be OVERJOYED to hit 160.0. :D

    I'd like to get consistent with my exercise again: running at least 3 times per week, working out at least 5 times per week. I also need to get consistent with healthy eating again. Getting my sleep schedule on track would be a huge plus, i've fallen into the summer rut of staying up with my teens late into the night and then sleeping in. it's making me feel all draggy.

    I also would absolutely be thrilled if I could end August under 150 pounds. I weighed in at 154.4 today so i'm fairly close. It's so hard for me to lose once I get into the 150s!

    For August I have a goal to break that 300 mark, and to get down at least one pants size. I know I can do it and it will be done.
