What do YOU put in your oatmeal?

Fresh fruit water or trim milk or almond milk. No sugar. Sometimes cinnamon0

So after watching my new favorite Hungry Girl cooking show, I put about 1 cup of organic soy milk or almond milk and then 1/2 a cup of water. Basically letting the oatmeal swell up and in turn doubling it's mass so I don't need as much of it.. Then I add in some fresh apple slices if I have it or dried apple slices and a little cinnamon.
It's super yummy!0 -
I was going to reply "1 teaspoon of honey and a small handful of raisins" Then I read everyone else's response and was like wow i'm boring! LOL0

I do half a banana (or berries), a scoop of vanilla protein, some pecans, and a little bit of milk.0

A lot of people on here comment about using egg whites in their porridge/oatmeal...is that instead of milk? Does it not scramble!?0

I make my oatmeal with water not milk. Anyway, I put in some walnuts, blueberries or dried cranberries and cinnamon. Delicious!!0

I do the same. I buy old fashioned oats and the night before I put a pot on the stove with no fire.
1/3 cup oats, 1 cup water, and a dash of cinnamon
Then in the morning I cook it for 10 minutes and when it's done I add:
2 tsp wheat germ
1/2 scoop protein powder
1/2 tb agave nectar
chia seeds (I made into a paste with almond milk)
top with berries
Keeps me full for a couple hours.0 -

This morning I made an oatmeal pancake. Spray your small skillet. Mix about 1/2 cup quick oats, 1 egg beaten, a splash of skim milk, a pinch of salt, cinnamon to taste. Mix well & let sit just a cople of minutes to soak in liquid...pour into your skillet and cool till brown on both sides. Top with a small amount of margaring of your choice and then I put a little honey on top. If I have blueberries I usually add a few to the mix. Yum..for a special b/fast.0

Sliced apple and cinnamon
Sugar-free jam
I'd totally do peanut butter but it is a weakness of mine and if I had it in my house I'd eat it with a spoon. Besides that, my roommate feels the same way and ate it all last time I bought it. lol0 -
I make it with vanilla almond milk and usually don't add anything else.0

I have been eating steel cut oats. I make it [extra runny] with either almond milk or water first. Then I add 1 TBSP flax seeds, 1 TBSP chia seeds (I put these in my bullet to make a "meal" out of it), 1 TBSP sliced almonds, and 1 TBSP organic unrefined coconut oil. It's super delicious.0

MFP made me like cottage cheese, which I always hated. Going to try some of these recipes and hopefully will learn to like real oatmeal. I've been eating the boxed kind in little packs..I know, so much shame lol0
