I'll have what she's having
Me too! LOL0 -
Now get your hubby working out with you and see what happens.
^ exactly... my DW (darling wife) and I were completely out of whack for at least six months (yeah, I'm a little slow that way) ... she was kicking *kitten* and taking names as a result of losing lbs, looking and feeling better about herself not to mention taking over the "boys" side of the gym. I on the other was working stupid hours, eating poorly, my metabolism was shot, my libido right there with it. I finally figured it out and four months later I can almost keep up (so to speak).
There is nothing wrong with you... it's an awesome NSV. Embrace it and tell the hubby to hold on for the ride.0 -
Hahaha! YES!! My "drive" goes through the roof when I am feeling better about myself and treating myself better (exercise and eating right).
From a biological standpoint, your body is telling you "Hey, I'm in pretty good shape, I'm getting healthy food and I'm working hard, I should probably bear children to ensure the survival of our species".
From a single woman's standpoint, it's just plain CRUEL!!!
LOL!!
Sucks from a single mans standpoint too!!! I mean I am already working out my arms in the gym shouldn't have to work them out at home!!0 -
No, I think sex is disgusting and a waste of time and energy. It's disgusting that bodily fluids get smeared all over my part and I inject my bodily fluids in or on her in various places. EWWW. I'd rather just work out.
Women sense my power, and they seek the life essence.
I do not avoid women, Mandrake. However, I do deny them my essence.0 -
Yup, me too! Although I don't know if it's because I lost weight (and am feeling more sexy) OR if it's because I just finished reading all 3 Fifty Shades!!0
-
Let's just say its no longer just the *horizontal* bop. And weight benches aren't just for lifting weights.0
-
It's incredible in the past I have lost over 30+ pounds my drive was always there but I didn't act because i was ashamed of my body but when I lost the weight I couldn't get enough morning, noon and night at first my other half that I was cheating but i wasn't. Not until after us working out together did she see the light and are drives are now unstopable. This working out thing is the best thing since slice bread and it has made are relationship so much better !0
-
Oh yes crazy high...but it sucks when you don't have someone....
I'm in the same boat. I have always had a high drive, now its even worse. Sucks being single.0 -
Glad to know (like so many others) that I'm not alone! I've always had a high drive-especially when in a relationship-but losing 41 pounds has kicked it into overdrive. I love that i have a more defined waist and you can see my hip bones...my boyfriend refers to it as something to grip The only problem is, while he has always told me how beautiful & sexy he thinks I am, he works long days, outside, in the heat-owns his own lawncare & landscaping company-which means there's plenty of times he's too tired/worn out. So I also understand the eh-hem...self love issue. But I'll deal-just glad to know this isn't abnormal! :bigsmile:0

Yeah, like crazy. We broke a record went 9 times last weekend.
Gotta eat more celery...
LOL try 9 times in one day! SHAWWING!0 -
Umm.... is this a problem for you? Feeling hot & having lots of sex isn't a bad thing... right?0
-
OMG! I hope this happens to me. My sex drive is non-existent and I hate it. I have to FORCE myself to do the deed. I used to really love it and now, not so much.0
-
I get the body image thing but within hours of a hard workout (no pun intended) I am really wired, so to speak. It must be those endorphines I've always heard about but never found on the treadmill.0

I have read that working out releases the same types of endorphins that are released during sex. So the theory is working out makes you horny0
-
Responding to a comment......NO this is not a problem for me at all. It just shocks a person when you go from no drive at all.....to wanting it morning/noon/night.0
-
I seriously hope not, at least for me.
Mine is already high enough, but unfortunately my wife's is non-existant. (and I am not joking).0 -

LMAO, I feel the same way. I'm totally jealous of everyone that goes home to someone. I'm out of control but have no one to get crazy with! Oh, the cruel irony of life!!!0 -
Sex drive went up when I got out of boot camp and had lost ~50 lb.
On a side note...this thread is like Sexual Freaks of MFP Anonymous.0 -
congrats girl. but when you lose weight you tend to feel good about yourself. so you feel more appealing and the sex drives goes up. but watch it I find every time you lose weight and the drive is up, then all of a sudden there's a bun in the oven. it never fails ;-))0
-
Try having this problem when you're single and not into flings!0
-
On August 27 both my kids will be in school and my husband is off!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if the man will live to go back to work after that day0
-
After a HIIT workout I can almost pole vault without the pole . Gets the endorphins going for sure.0

From a male perspective, yes my libido has increased. I'm older (55 next month) and had chalked up my slowing down to my age. But with the weight loss, I've really gotten revved up. Of course, my little woman loves it. Personally, I think it is a product of several things, one being that I feel better overall, my health is better, therefore that should transfer over to the bedroom. Also, I feel better about myself. I feel . . . hmmm . . . I don't know . . . sexier? Maybe that's it. And to be graphic, my junk looks different because of the weight loss which is also a bit of a thrill - or a turn on . . . whichever. Regardless, I'm happy and so is my lovely lady.
Love it!0 -
LOL try 9 times in one day! SHAWWING!
I'm working up to it, man! 5 is the record so far, and I'm shootin' blanks by the end of the weekend!0 -
Yes.... yes.... and yes....
If I'm awake, I want it. It's been a complete 180 turn for me, I used to have zero interest... my poor husband. He's one happy guy now.0 -
