ok, i lost a whole .8 this week. i guess that's just the way it is for me. doc wanted me to lose 3 in a month. i might make it. ct scan came back and was normal. so i will just go on. i guess it's just the weight. he said it could be. i just wish i could lose like i use to. i have a sign by my treadmill that says. don't look back, look forward. i would rather move forward and not look back. i might make the same mistake twice or three times again. LOL.
just feeling blah today. i think i will go out after workout today. just window shop.

Hey Cathy, thanks for posting the new one. You're doing great. When you talk about your daily activities, I'm exhausted just reading them. Follow your advice and keep looking forward and you will succeed in not only losing your weight and feeling better, but also encouraging us.
Have to post later on weight. Not optimistic, but maybe after the gym will feel better.

DAM!!!! my treadmill wouldn't start today. i had to do a dvd, i don't like going to the gym and than coming back to shower to go do running. so i exercise at home. (i don't do showers at the gym anymore). will have to have DH look at it.
tomorrow i have a class until after 2. so won't be on until afternoon.

I lost 3.2 lbs this week!! That's almost half of the cookie weight I put on. If I could lose the other 3.5 lbs this week, I would be so thrilled. That would definitely be the fastest I've ever taken off holiday weight. So, I'm definitely not going to be down to my goal of 215.5 this week, but taking off my holiday weight would be a big accomplishment.0 -

Lauryn, it's ok. Sometimes weight control has to take a back burner to the rest of life. But please please please just stick with it as best you can. It's okay if not every day is perfect. It's even okay if you're a few hundred calories over every day. It's way better than throwing in the towel and gaining back all of the weight you lost. You're where I was at 2.5 years ago -- I had lost 80 lbs, was in great shape and eating healthy food and then gained about 10 lbs because I got busy. Instead of just doing the best I could and just maintaining at a 70 lb loss, I gained back 70 lbs. I felt like a failure when I had gained 10 lbs because I was gaining weight instead of losing weight, but all-or-nothing thinking isn't very good for weight loss and maintenance. I can't even remember gaining the weight gradually. In my mind, I somehow went from 194 (a gain of 20 lbs) to 245 and it's just a blur. Don't wake up one day and be 50 lbs heavier. You deserve better. :flowerforyou:

I can't believe it. All that shredding has done me some good. I just need to stay on track again. I thought I would only lose 1 lb a week. Litlle did I know that I would go beyond my goal.:happy:

Laryn, I agree with Alison. There is no failure. Just simple setbacks. I remember someone posting that in weight loss and health, we need to make U-turns. If we are driving and go down a wrong road, usually we find the first turn off to turn ourselves around and get on the right track. Don't beat yourself up. Take a deep breath, pull the "diet car" over to the side of the road, maybe even take a little "nap" before turning back around. Just make sure you don't keep going down the wrong road. Consider us your GPS in our annoying, but loving voices reminding you that there's a turn around for you just up ahead. Lauryn, it's ok. Sometimes weight control has to take a back burner to the rest of life. But please please please just stick with it as best you can. It's okay if not every day is perfect. It's even okay if you're a few hundred calories over every day. It's way better than throwing in the towel and gaining back all of the weight you lost. You're where I was at 2.5 years ago -- I had lost 80 lbs, was in great shape and eating healthy food and then gained about 10 lbs because I got busy. Instead of just doing the best I could and just maintaining at a 70 lb loss, I gained back 70 lbs. I felt like a failure when I had gained 10 lbs because I was gaining weight instead of losing weight, but all-or-nothing thinking isn't very good for weight loss and maintenance. I can't even remember gaining the weight gradually. In my mind, I somehow went from 194 (a gain of 20 lbs) to 245 and it's just a blur. Don't wake up one day and be 50 lbs heavier. You deserve better. :flowerforyou:

Laryn, I agree with Alison. There is no failure. Just simple setbacks. I remember someone posting that in weight loss and health, we need to make U-turns. If we are driving and go down a wrong road, usually we find the first turn off to turn ourselves around and get on the right track. Don't beat yourself up. Take a deep breath, pull the "diet car" over to the side of the road, maybe even take a little "nap" before turning back around. Just make sure you don't keep going down the wrong road. Consider us your GPS in our annoying, but loving voices reminding you that there's a turn around for you just up ahead. I missed being on here over the weekend. It's been crazy around here since the break-in. The insurance adjuster should be here before the end of the week and then we can start getting the doors and the mens room window fixed. My new computer has been ordered and should be in today. We got a laptop with a docking station this time so I can take it home with me. That will be nice in case of future break-ins and also sick/snow days. I spent a long time yesterday updating documents (where someone e-mailed me an older copy) and recreating others. Still have a long way to go.

i had to go goodwilling. i only have 5 pairs of pants that fit me now. so i really needed some pants. found 2 pair and a few shirts. dang this weight gain. i miss all my clothes. i just need to put them away until i can fit into them again. i don't know which would be worst. only seeing the few that fit in the closet or seeing what did fit. pondering that thought.
