I am 5ft2 so any guy 5ft6 and taller is enough for me!

My boyfriend is only 5ft10 and he still seems so tall when he stands next to me xD

I can find men attractive regardless of their height, but in terms of people I would want to date, I have a 6' requirement. (Ok, it's a loose requirement.) My last ex was 5'11" and I used to tell him he was short all the time.
I grew up around tall men. Between my dad, my uncles and my brother noone was under 6'2'' in my family except my mom and aunt. And they were 5'10 and 5'11 so.....tall is what I like. Im not sure why, can't explain, but don't usually date guys under 5'10''.

^^^And this is exactly why. All of the men in my family are tall. And my first serious bf was a foot taller than me. It's just what I know/am used to.

I love short guys! Always have. I'm 5'0 and my husband is 5'1. Sometimes we get "looks" from ppl and I tell him they're probably wondering if we're "little people" LOL! We do look cute together, we were made for each other. I tell him that all the time. I look at tall guys and even the really attractive ones I feel like they're too far away from me, I know sounds weird :ohwell:

It has never been an issue for me, last guy I dated loved that in heels I was a little taller than him, he thought it was super sexy and just lit up when we went out and I was dressed to the tee. Height doesn't matter to everyone although I do know some people who won't date under 6' or so. So shallow if you ask me.

I think I've already posted this...but it's not. Some people may prefer taller men, some prefer shorter.

I've dated both tall and short...and it doesn't matter to me. How they act, talk, other attractive traits, and treat me is what I care about.

I'm a 5'9 male who I think is fairly attractive but was told that I would be much more attractive if I was only 6 ft tall. Ladies, why is a man's attractiveness defined by his height? Why is height soooo important to women

Honestly, there is nothing you can do about it. And nothing women can do about it.
We're mostly hard wired to be attracted to men who will father healthy and attractive children, but men are also hard wired that way.

This is why "beer goggles" work. we're wired to find people with symmetrical facial features (genetically desirable) and when intoxicated, these senses are off kilter, and everyone looks symmetrical.

There are women out there (like me) who don't mind dating shorter guys.

I'm 5'10 and overweight. I used to date a guy who was smaller than me, but I always just felt like a giant and that didn't exactly do wonders for my self esteem (even though he wasn't THAT short).

There's something about being smaller than your boyfriend that makes you feel feminine. Maybe it's feeling protected or something.

I think plenty of "short guys" are very attractive.

One thing that can play against them though is that some short guys are self conscious about being short. Confidence is attractive, so if the guy is not confident at his height, then he may be less attractive.

The guy friend I went to senior prom with, way back when, was short and, at the time, very self conscious about it. I'm short myself (5 foot) and he was only an inch or two taller than me. I wore heels that went with a little black dress I'd picked out, but made sure they were very low heels. We came out to the same height as a result. When his uncle wanted to take a picture of us in the garden, and because of the slope of the ground I ended up higher on the slope than him... he got very fidgety and was obviously uncomfortable with the fact that my head was up higher than his. It was annoying that all night he didn't want to appear "short" next to me in heels. Dude wouldn't dance either--not even a slow dance--so I spent most of the night hanging out with my friends while he pouted on a couch near the punch and food, complaining of a headache. We left early and I waited for my girl friends to call so I could meet up with them afterwards for mid night bowling.

(I had actually planned to skip my senior prom, having thought that prom my junior year wasn't really all that exciting. But the guy asked me out in front of my mom about a month or so beforehand, and her expression made it clear I wasn't allowed to say no.)

I haven't seen him in years, but would imagine that he's gotten a bit more confident about "owning" his height since then.

It probably indicates good genetics to us. Tall, powerful men would be more able to fight and protect us and our children. This would be on a more primal level, of course.

I have no idea what the opposite gender finds attractive... besides money.
