Split Pea Soup with Ham...this is one of my favorites and SO easy. This is great without the ham too but I will hear about it from the fiance if I make a meal without meat. DELICIOUS!
Layer in the crockpot:
16oz package of dried green split peas
3-4 chopped carrots (I usually add more for our tastes)
1/2 cup chopped onions
1-2 cloves minced garlic
handful of fresh chopped parsley
chopped ham to your liking
salt
pepper
cover with 1.5 quarts water
Leave covered, do not stir, and cook on high heat for 6 hrs or low heat for 8-10 hrs. Enjoy!0 -

I love Slow Cooker Cilantro Lime Chicken. Great in tacos!!!

My 2 favorites are Spaghetti Sauce and 24 hour Pot Roast:
For Spaghetti I just brown my meat, either ground beef or ground turkey, with a jar of Prego from Costco, put it on low all day, its yummy. My grown kids love it as do their friends.
24 hour Pot Roast * Roast (any type you like, a cheap cut is fine because it cooks for a long time)
* Onion diced
* 2 Bell peppers, slicked (any color you like remove the seeds)
* Taco Seasoning
* Small jar Salsa
Put the Roast in, then every thing else, I put it on at night before I go to bed, and have it for dinner the following night, you can eat it on rice, noodles or as a wrap.0 -
Supr easy beef roast
2 lb beef (shoulder or whatever roast is on sale)
1 packet dry Italian dressing mix
1 packet dry ranch dressing mix
1 packet brown gravy mix
1 cup bee broth (or water)
With all of the packets sodium is high but tenderizes the meat beautifully and drippings make a great gravy0 -
This is one of my favorites.....quick and filling.
I throw in 2 frozen chicken breast, add light seasoning
One can of corn (frozen also works, fresh is best but requires more work)
One can of diced or stewed tomatoes
One can of black beans
Turn on low and 6 hours later I have a delicious hearty meal. If I have less time I put it on high for 3 hours.
Once cooked, take out chicken and shred it with a fork
Add shredded chicken back to crock pot and mix.
Let cook for another 1/2 hour to blend
Add brown rice and you a hearty filling meal. Add spinach for more ruffage. Wonderful!
*i also drained the canned corn and black beans. If I drain I'd add 1 cup of water to the mix0 -
3 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
5-6 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 can of cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
high for 4-5 hours.
turns out like a reallllll yummmmmy chicken stew.0 -

I just used my crock pot Thursday night for Pineapple Habarero Chicken with Rice.
1.5 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breast (I cut mine into 1" cubes)
10 ounce bag of diced onions
3 habanero peppers - sliced thin (discard the seeds and membranes, use caution with these peppers, they will burn you)
1 can crushed pineapple
Toss everything in the crock pot on low for about six hours. At six hours, I stirred in a couple cups of uncooked rice and added a little water. Give it a little stir. Cook on high for 20 minutes until rice is cooked and enjoy. The low slow cooking takes the sharp burn away from the pepper as you're eating it you still get the spicy tempature spike after eating.0 -

Check out this website. http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/
It's basically nothing but crock pot recipes, and a ton of them are easy.0 -
I make my own spaghetti sauce in the crock pot. That way, I can control the sodium content, add veggies when my hubby isn't looking, and end up with enough left over to freeze for another time. I also like to put a london broil steak in there with a can of cream of chicken and some fresh herbs. Cook for 8 hours - the meat is fall apart tender, and you can thicken up the juices to make a gravy. Not the most healthy of meals, but it's nice once in a while when my husband is craving steak, and you can plan the rest of your meals that day accordingly.0
