Sooooooo....whats for breakfast?

Today I had a scrambled egg, 4 slices canadian bacon on top half of a left over baked potato. It was yummy! Usually I will have an egg, 2 slices of bacon or can bacon and a bit of cheese in a wrap or on an english muffin.0
-
Before I leave for work, I have a half a large banana, or a couple of baby bananas.
Most mornings, at my desk, I have low-fat yogurt, naturally sweetened, with high-fiber cereal mixed in. I like the crunch factor.
Very rarely, I have eggs fried with cooking spray and a few pieces of turkey bacon.
Kinda boring, huh? :yawn:0 -
either 1/2 a multi grain bagel with PB and honey or a protein shake depends on my mood if I'm still hungry I may add a piece of fruit0
-
Overnight oats:
1/2 cup oat bran
1 cup milk
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1-2 tbsp ground flax seed
1-2 tbsp wheat germ
1 tbsp sweetener of your choice0 -
Some quaker banana bread oatmeal, topped with half of a banana and some raw almonds! (:
Another go-to of mine is kashi go lean crunch with skim milk and some berries on top.0 -
I don't know your breakfast preference or time constraints but here are my quick and easy meal.
Apple Cinnamon Refrigerator Oatmeal.
1 Waffle with Cookie Butter (Rare)
1/2 Bagel with Peanut Butter
Cheerios with Protein Shake.
I switch these up by weeks. All are pretty easy to make and I normally wash it all down with a glass of soy milk.
I LOVE soy milk! Just original.. Yum! Real milk just taste gross to me now.0 -
I change my breakfast foods about every two-three weeks:
Bananas and Orange juice;
Grapefruit and yogurt;
Yogurt and blueberries;
Oatmeal and apples/banana;
Cantaloupe and banana fruit cocktail
I try to get five fruits and vegetables in a day, and I've found that breakfast is the perfect meal to get in one or two servings :-)0 -
Usually just scrambled eggs or an egg sandwich on wheat with sliced ham/cheese. Really been eating a lot of Special K Protein Plus though with berries or a tbs of PB chips. It's the only cereal that fills me up!0

if you're really bored with breakfast, try switching it up by not eating breakfast... but have an amazingly good lunch (or brunch) that is bigger or more calorie-filled then you could otherwise have.
by cutting out breakfast, my lunches are awesome. lol0 -
Okay, so I LOVE food.....like love, love food and I find that I get easily bored of eating the same things everyday.
Breakfast is one of those things that you can really change up just as long as you keep protein in there for energy throughout the day. At least that what I need. I usually have a green tea/americano to go with this but i don't put any sugar or anything in it, so we're good to go.
Here are some ideas of what I eat for brekkie:
-turkey and spinach wrap
-eggs and kale wrap with spicy sauce
-wraps in general (you can fill them with anything which is amazing)
-smoothies are pretty good
-Sushi in the morning...i know it sounds crazy, but this really is a good idea for breakfast, its filling and healthy (brown rice) and you can get it almost anywhere
-Fruit and granola, longo's has a really good organic maple granola which is great.
-yogurt parfait....fruit and granola but with no fat vanilla activia
- I tend to stay away from Granola bars however, they have all this weird stuff in them that I can't pronounce and you'd be surprised that one granola bar can often be as many calories as like a chocolate bar, so why not just eat that.
Lastly, when i'm feeling like i need a treat in the morning....
Nutella fruit sandwiches! these are amazing! I got into these because its the only way my cousin will eat fruit
So whole wheat organic bread, one tablespoon of Nutella (not that fattening!) and then you take any seasonal fruit you want and put it all together...BAM delicious!
Hope that helps!

I LOVE breakfast!!!!
eggs are usually whats on my menu, monday through friday..Monday evening I will bake a 10 egg white full of veggies (peppers and onions) with 2oz of cheese and 1/3 cup of low fat milk...cut that into four servings (200 cals) then I'll add a tablespoon of low fat sour cream and 2 tablespoons of salsa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saturday and sunday I shake it up with waffles, biscuits and gravy or pancakes, just so I don't feel deprived, but there needs to be an intense workout to help get rid of those 500-600 cal breakfasts, lol...0 -
Breakfast isn't that exciting but I enjoy it. It's usually this EVERY day
1.5 cup Special K Red Berries
0.75 cup skim milk
1 hard boiled egg
1 cup of EITHER blueberries, blackberries, or raspberries0 -
There's a whole world of ideas out there
I was travelling to Japan for work, and I like to eat local whenever I can...
Well, the japanese breakfast (google it, large variations) is all about soup, fish, rice, hardboiled eggs, etc...
Breakfast doesn't need to be light, or different than any other meal.. it's when you get your fuel for the first part of the day, when you're at your lowest energy point.. so, might as well eat0 -
Hungry Girl did a baked omelette recently. :drinker: I have made that same recipe and many variations of it many times over the years. :blushing: I was so glad she let others know about it. You can find her recipe online at Hungry-Girl.com. :flowerforyou: I have an omelette baking in my oven right now. :smooched: Yum!!0

1 carton of egg beaters = 250 cal
1 smoked pork chop = 110 cal
salsa = <20 cal
65g protein
4g fat
4g carbs
Big plate of food.0 -
I usually have eggs or greek yogurt0
-
my typical breakfast:
1 or 2 eggs, scrambled or sunny side up
2 slices of whole grain toast
1 slice of Gouda cheese (big enough for both slices of toast)
and my favorite topping for the toasts:
cut a tomato into small pieces, mix them with a bit of olive oil and tomato puree, salt, pepper.
goes well with low fat curd cheese instead of the normal cheese0 -
Two hardboiled eggs and a hunk of cheese.
I'm a low-carber.0 -
usually 1 or 2 scrambled eggs with 4 or 5 strips of bacon. and a shot of coconut oil. cutting out grains and sugar, ESPECIALLY at breakfast, has left me with tons of energy throughout the day and has made me lose weight even quicker.0
-
I had oatmeal with fresh blueberries from my future MIL's garden.0
-
protein is the most important after 8 hours of fasting. I do a whey shake w ice & coffee, or egg whites w spinach to get me up and goin0
-
This is a good one:
Egg in a mug
spray mug with cooking spray
one egg/one egg white
1 wedge of light Laughing Cow cheese (cut into small pieces)
Sometimes I add spinach or chopped canadian bacon
Stir well
Microwave 1 minute on 50 percent power
see if it needs more time depending on your microwave
it comes out round and fits nicely on a light english muffin or bagel thin
Very yummy!!

I was thinking of having a ham sandwich xD0
