    Nah, he loves me
    Aww...I didn't mean that he doesn't think you're hot. That was an inside joke for Brett because he found it difficult to wear a shirt that represents Texas. And you are hot!

    Brett is a sucker for the Texas girls lol

    I am NEVER going to Texas! Just so we're clear....

    to do with my selection. 36-24-36? Ha ha, only if she's 5'3"

    I agree that curvy/voluptuous is mighty fine. But without pics, this thread is 100 % useless.

    Preeeaaaaccchhhh!!!!

    I have worked hard on my body, and I am NOT fat (anymore) but I sure as hell am curvy, voluptuous, thick, whatever you wanna call it---the REAL meanings of the words! Let's take those words back!

    Right!! I was always curvy before. Now I am just plain fat. When I lose this fat and get my curves back I will call myself curvy.

    Right now I am a duck, a fat duck. :grumble:

    90% of the time when someone describes themselves as curvy I want to say:

    inigo.png

    It seems we've gotten far away from what curvy actually is.

    :laugh: This is awesome!! Please post this picture anytime you see curvy misused! fingerscrossed.gif

    I totally hear you! I am the same way! It bugs me when girls who need to lose 100lbs to be healthy
    call themselves "curvy"
  • Agreed. People have forgotten what curvy really means. You can be overweight and curvy, you can be skinny and curvy. It just means your waist is smaller than your hips and boobs. I'm curvy. I'm overweight right now but you can still see my curves.

    Christina Hendricks (sp?) is curvy. ScarJo is curvy. They are both of course a good weight and in shape. I wouldn't mind having their curvy bodies! LOL

    Same for me! Still over weight but curves galore!

    Oh BTW, you don't have to be an HOURGLASS to have curves, you can be pear shape, etc etc. Honestly this post was a little stupid and narcissistic.

    No... no it wasn't.
  • I'm overweight, obese even, and I still have an hourglass figure. So, therefore, I am curvy, yet I am also fat.

    I don't know if it was on purpose, but due to the editing this image looks like the white female running turns into a black dude.

    Nobody said an hourglass is the only curves....

    the term you are looking for ....for someone that is over abundantly curvy (aka some rolls but still curvy and defined) is Rubenesque...after Ruben's character paintings of over abundantly endowed women that were NOT in shape and curvy....

    I was taught that someone who is not in shape and still has some definition and curves to their body is Rubenesque and curvy meant exactly what Amber was talking about.

    No, but it makes no sense to sit and talk about how other people DEFINE their BODIES. Worry about your body and support others. Who cares if someone 200lbs calls themselves curvy. What does it have to do with you? Or anything else for that matter?

    Thank you! I couldn't recall the term.

    Yup, it's just the body shape.
    Some skinny girls have curves and some fat girls are straight yet fat. Just genetics

    CURVY = waist curves INWARD....
    Example:
    mmm-42974245818_xlarge.jpeg

    FAT = waist curves OUTWARD...
    Example:
    images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSWw--wPY3R-ND6TfpyitEdoXTPuV-KIHHExLNdrxbsWowJ12Vs

    Then of course, there is also "straight up and down like a ruler", which I am, but I'm fine with it. :happy:

    Amber, I will say there is nothing fat about you. All the good adjectives that I have seen on here do nicely too describe your shape. I will take a women with some shape any day over another option...
