I met mine on Plenty Of Fish. We talked for two months then went on our first date and now have been dating almost a year. He lives two hours away and the plan is for me to move there in Feb/March around tax season. He is le amaze.
  • Work...we were both married (with kids to other people) when we met. That was back in 1995. I was ALWAYS attracted to him and we remained friends through the years.

One day in 2008, I sent him an email just to say "hi" and catch up on life and discovered that we were both recently unattached. We decided to meet for lunch that day and then we had "dessert" in the back of his truck (in the TGIFriday's parking lot)...LOL! :drinker:

He proposed 10 days after my divorce was final in 2009.
We eloped on the Jersey shore at sunset in 2011.

He's seen me at my highest weight (252) and at my lowest (148 -- now). And, he still loves me.

I'm a car girl -- build, race & work on it all by myself.

I had just sold my daily driver and was in need of another. Found the perfect car to tool around town in & bought it. The owner forgot a bunch of stuff in the glovebox & since he was so cute, I didn't mind offering to drop it off at his house.

We've been together ever since, heh. Now we are engaged & getting married in May! (:

    In a bar.

If you take the two stories together, I was with friends and incredibly drunk and he was out with some girl who apparently saw their date as a good time to chat up other guys.
  • I was promoting for an event our bar was holding. I walked up to the car he was in and asked "Hey do you guys like girls in bikini's?" Well, he showed up at the event that night and gave me his number, I called him and we have been inseparable for the past 6 years. We own a home and have a 3 year old little girl together. I loves him. :)

I was at the coffee shop by myself 2 doors down from my apartment. grabbed my coffee and went to sit down, tripped over nothing and spilled my hot coffee all over him. When i put my hands of to stop the fall I landed one hand on his chest and the other one on his crotch. Seemed like a good time to introduce myself....lol

My husband and I met when we were 18 and 19 at McDonald's. We have been married for about 5 years now, two wonderful kids and hopefully a third soon, and we are so happily married. Marriage is hard work and shouldn't be entered into lightly. We have overcome some very bad hardships and are certainly reaping God's rewards :) I love thinking about my Honey.

I had a blind date stand me up one cool night in September so I called a friend who also had nothing to do and we crashed her brother's bonfire. My husband is best friend's with my friends brother. He stopped me from jumping into a very cold, half drained pool. Our "one night stand" has lasted for 13yrs and 2 kids. Couldn't be happier.

We played video games together (yep, we were WoW addicts), and found out we lived close to each other. Decided to meet up, and three years and an engagement ring later, are still plugging away at it. Minus the video games. Well. Most of the time. =)

I came home to find my fiancee in the bath tub with a beer in one hand, a play boy in the other and an 8 ball of cocaine on the counter. I was furious (he had promised me he was done with cocaine and the only reason I agreed to come back to him and marry him) so I went back to my office and decided to go to a vendor party with my boss.

Long story short, my husband was with a vendor that we both used. My boss stopped his car to talk to the sales guy and my at the same time we both looked around the drivers of both cars and saw each other. I remember seeing his gorgeous eyes and eye lashes.

We went to the warehouse party, had a few drinks then a bunch of us decided to go to a bar in town. I was in the car talking about how cute he was and then someone riding with us dared me to get out at the next red light and jump in the truck with him. Well, I did and we were walking into Vinnies and he grabbed me and kissed me. Then did not speak to me the rest of the evening.

So, after a few more weeks of the guy doing cocaine, I finally left him and started seeing Dan on a regular basis. Best thing that ever happened to me. That was 14 years ago and the dead beat coke head is still not over it, and he happens to be married.

Me and my Fiance met of all places on Twitter. He's a hockey fanatic like me. He started following my tweets. And we got to talking. a little over a month later he asked me out, 11 months later, we were engaged. 2 months after that he moved in with me. We're planning our wedding as we speak. I was single for a year and a half. I left a terrible 10 year relationship with my ex and I had pretty much given up on dating when I met him. He's is SO perfect for me.

It's interesting to see a lot of people meeting online, it's not so much of a taboo anymore, heres my list anyway though theres no happy endling lol

BF1: Yahoo chat - he was going through a rough time I decided to help we were together 8 wonderful months and 3 traumatising years (including a year of stalking at the end on his part)

BF2: POF he was out of my league but we made it a year before he told me he didn't love me anymore

BF3: I thought this one was a keep he was on POF too, not a great looker but we totally clicked, nearly a year later he screwed some ugly tramp with god knows how many STD's and now I'm single AGAIN

I met my husband in an online game called Acrophobia about 13 years ago. We were just friendly, no love interest...

The game died after a year or so and came back 7 years later. I went into the game one day, and he was there. I remembered his user name so we started talking.

After a few weeks of talking I invited him to Toronto for his birthday (he lived in England). He booked his trip for March 8th (this was in August) and we started talking more often on the phone, then it became daily and then I was hooked.

I decided I couldn't wait until March to see him so I booked a trip in October to England for New Year's. A couple weeks later, he decided he couldn't wait that long, so he booked a trip for November.

We spent 3 weeks together in total between Toronto and London. Our wedding day was March 10, two days after the trip he originally booked :)

We've been happily married 5.5 years.
