I always love your picture presentations ! For me I always worked out and ate whatever I wanted . I stopped working out for a year And put on a few pounds but my muscle converted to fat , so my body shape changed . Your pictures helped me understand that. Hope that make sense. Thanks for taking the time to post b/c it was a light bulb for me that eating slightly better and staying active was my new plan . Went to get new pants the other day I was a 3/4 havn't seen that since i was 15! Feel fantastic working out again ....0

Thanks for posting this! I think people get too hung up on the scale....I'm actually trying to stay the same (or even put on weight) but seriously drop my body fat percentage. 6' & 220ish & lean...that's my goal.
Oh, and very nice curves, both before and after....although there should be another pic with the new jeans that replaced those0 -
Can I hug you? Please? I so needed this! Bookmarking for later & definitely taking photos. I meant to before I started and never got around to it.
Thank you for the boost!0 -
I love all of your posts. They are all so inspiring. I just posted on my page last week about how I'm no longer a slave to the scale. The scale keeps going up and down. Then I went clothes shopping because my clothes are too big. I went from a large to a medium shirt size, a large to a medium jacket size, a size 5 to a 3 pant size. My scale has been stuck between 150 and 148 for the past few weeks. You are so right.0

Awesome post and so true. My scale weight was stuck and even backsliding 5-6 lbs most of the summer- and I am just now getting back to the weight I was at in June. But I have a shirt I bought almost a year ago as a goal to fit into- in June I was happy I could just get it buttoned but it was way too tight to wear- today it actually fits me very well.0

oh god i needed this... I am only 1kg lighter than i was this time last year.. i work out alot. strenght training and cardio.. i will admit, i dont think ive been eating enough, but i have seen the light..... it is frustrating
but even though im pretty much the smae weight, ive dropped a dress size.. so i cant complain... Time to throw the scales in the bin... me thinks.......... dont look at how far we have to go, look at how far we've come
and ive lost 36kgs (about 70p)... so I ROCK.................. and U ROCK toooo.. you look amazing... thanks for the read0 -
How true the saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words"!
Thanks for posting these words of encouragement. :flowerforyou:0 -
The scale is a lying, cheating *kitten* who kicks puppies and takes candy from babies. Don't give it any power over you.
Muwahahahahahaha0 -
Wow thanks for posting!!!!!! I hate the stupid scale!!!! Awesome job!! very encouraging.0

Omg, when i first read the title i thought this was going to be some silly skinny lady telling us how the scale doesnt matter but WOW! What a freaken inspiration! You look amazing and now, i FINALLY believe that the scale is indeed a liar!0

YES THANK YOU!!!!!! Body fat percentage all the way yo!!!0

Great reminder. My scale has been fluctuating up and down the last few weeks (mostly up), but I have about 15 pairs of dress pants laying folded in the closet because they fall off. Think I'll just let the batteries die in the scale. :laugh:0

That's really cool to see. You have an amazing body!0

First of all, congrats on all your hard work and progress. You look simply AMAZING now.
But, second, I want to throw in my own tidbit of a story to support what you're saying, because you're absolutely right. In August 2011, I hit my goal weight of 170. But, I realized I'd been sedentary for years and couldn't possibly have the muscle structure I'd had as a younger man. I decided to keep going in a refinement mode and set a target of 12% body fat. I went out to get measured and learned at 170 I was 19.5%. I did the math and set a new goal. Kept dieting and working out hard. Three months went by and I didn't lose an ounce. I went for another % measurement and it came in at 10.8%. I had swapped ounce-for-ounce, fat for new muscle.
The scale doesn't define us, it often misleads us and, sadly, it often makes people give up. The scale is a tool, and an important one. But, it's not the only one.0 -
Every time you post, I leave with a new mindset.0

Great post!
Blue jeans tell all.:happy:0 -
Great post. I am addicted to weighing myself, i know i've lost weight but the scales either move slowly down or up depending on what mood its in. I have put it away and will not weigh myself until next week. So hard though, i nearly gave in this morning.0

I love it. You are an inspiration.0

Doing no scale October...lying byotch scale has been sent away to live elsewhere for the whole month.
The only thing I'm using to gauge progress is a tape measure and my goal pair of Lucky jeans that will make my booty look fantastic.
eta...oops guess you can't say b..i..t..c..h0 -
Love this!! Thanks!!!0
-
I am also putting my scale away for the month of October. I saw NO loss in September on the scale, but I'm down 7 inches and my clothes are much more loose. I am tired of being frustrated and discouraged!0
-
I needed this. Although I can always do better, I can also do worse as well. I get an urge almost every other day to get on the scale and it says I have gained. I am working out more but I cannot stop eating. Uuuughh!
I will stop here and say thank you. I am definitely a work in progress.0 -
spot on; great job.0

Joining the masses in saying: Thanks so much for posting! Definitely came along at exactly the right moment! I'm off to look for my tape measure!0
