Prepping for my 2nd show of the year.
Total process took around 5 years. That was going through a number of cutting and bulking cycles, trial and error, etc. The journey has been fantastic (been in magazines, in bodybuilding.com's book). Things really exploded in the last 2 years AFTER hiring a coach. I have been working with him ever since.
Damn dude! Awesome. Thanks for the inspiration!0 -
Wow, you're all so amazing and inspirational.0

5'3" 150 lbs:
And because I didn't take a standing "before" at 150, here is one at 143 lbs:
And here is me now. I fluctuate between 106-108 lbs these days:
Such a cute picture (3rd one)0 -
My most current "before and after" is in my profile photo and my ticker (below).
I've taken 15 months to lose 29.5kg / 65lbs.
I started at 97kg / 213lbs and I'm now 67kg / 147lbs.
I eat a high protein, medium fats, low carb diet... drink 8-10 glasses of water... 3x 60min cardio/strength/weights sessions pw and I don't eat within 2hrs of going to bed.
It IS possible) I've just started a public facebook page to share my success, some recipes and offer advice to REAL people just like me, as I personally never trust anyone offering advice who gains from that financially - genuine advice should always be free! Have a look if you want?

Didnt think i could lose weight with an under-active thyroid...0 -
I posted these recently, but thought I'd put them here for anyone who is on the brink of throwing in the towel and screeching "FACKITALL".
Basically? Got a short, sharp shock from my doctor in September 2010. Decided to stop PCOS, heart disease and type 2 in their tracks by getting up off my bum and extending my life by a few years!
Now? Zumba freak (and instructor!), kettlebell devotee, and still in constant quiet surprise that an ex-fatgirl, exercise-loathing binge-eater who had remembered being fat since she was six well...wasn't any more.
I'm like a broken record on so many levels, but I cannot reiterate this enough: if I can do it, anyone can. I mean anyone. I thought I was destined for a life of being The Fat One, being unhappy, constantly having to check if that dress flattered me (read: hid my fat). Not the case. You CAN do it.
The science part (oh advertising, how strong your influence is!):
Starting weight: 16 stone (224lb)
Current weight: 10 stone 2 (142lb)
Current workout regime: zumba 6 - 7 times a week, kettlebells once a week, gym after class about 3 times a week to lift some weights.
Diet: portion control, just being sensible really. And having no qualms about pizzandbeer on a Friday night. Everything in moderation.1
